Reviewed By xinthyaSorry for writing on the hotel site but even if I tried I couldn’t find any INTANIN TOURS TRAVEL AGENCY (which is placed inside the hotel!!!! )The 2 receptionists of the hotel also work as tours agents and we have to thank them very much!!! We booked a trip to Krabi,a daily tour by speed boat to Ko Rok & Ko Ha and the transfer to Krabi airport. Prices are really really convenient! But I want to talk about the 2 girls employees! They’ve been REALLY professional and helpful by giving us both details and suggestions about our trips. They have been REALLY nice,gentle and well prepared but above all they have been VERY patient!!! Hope they’ll know we’ve appreciated their efforts,job and kindness very much!!! Thanks a million!!!!

Reviewed By 341chasemPerfect view, spectacular food and the staff was absolutely amazing. I rarely write reviews. But this place deserves a good one. Cliff Lanta does thai food in a classy way that fits perfectly with the view. The massaman is especially amazing. Not a bad seat in the restaurant. The staff are all smiles and are so absolutely sweet. Make you feel very welcome and at home in paradise. PLUS, the rooms have a bath on the balcony overlooking the cliff that is arguably the best sunset view on the island. You do have to go down a few steps to get to the beach. But so easy and close. 1 minute walk down. Plus the beach is quite empty compared to other beaches and just as beautiful. The beds are quite soft...which, if you travel in thailand much, you know is sometimes rare. Great stay and/or restaurant.

Excellent coffee and tea and a small, but very tasteful selection of home made cake. The staff always greet you at the entrance which doesn’t always happen in cafe/restaurant premises but it sets the tone of your visit. It’s not just a coffee shop/restaurant but you can stay in the villas. Everything seems maintained to a high standard. Highly recommended

Utterly disgusted do not stay at this hotel
Reviewed By jancallisterArrived at hotel 13.30 to be shown a bungalow overlooking the hotel car park I booked a beach front bungalow when queried with owner he became rather annoyed and suggested we found other accommodation and he would refund in full Being 2 pensioners and no wifi at that time to book other accommodation and also being in a strange country we Reluctantly took room number 3 Bed was broken and taped up with black masking tape toilet was stained badly and then attempted to make a hot drink to only find the cable from kettle did not reach plug socket on wall, after asking the owner he brought an extension lead over to enable us to put kettle on. Managed to get wifi and booked another hotel within 30 minutes of us being in the room. Only thing used in room was the kettle to make a hot drink using my own teabags and cups for a whole 30minutes I Informed owner we were leaving and after his previous suggestion of us finding alternative accommodation and giving us a full refund we left. One hour later email received from owner stating he was charging me for one nights stay as we had used the room for a whole 30 minutes. Absolutely flabbergasted ?. I have never posted on here before but please be aware there are NO beach front properties at this hotel the owner is not a very genuine person after suggesting we find other hotel and giving us a refund he has now not kept his promise, people like him should not be able to advertise a room that does not fit the description also cheap dirty plastic chairs on a tiny area outside room one could hardly call a balcony /patio and overlook a car park certainly not a beach front bungalow as advertised I also found him to be rather arrogant not friendly and he obviously did not like being told he had advertised his accommodation incorrectly I also got the impression he did not take to a female telling him some home truths about his accommodation . After reading previous reviews about behaviour towards guests I highly recommend notto stay here The room was very basic and only 2 electrical sockets in room the bed was broken stained toilet too please see the pictures

Reviewed By TravellingJRKThis hotel was nice, clean and quiet. The staff was friendly. The location to the beach was perfect and the pool was excellent. The breakfast buffet was average. My biggest issue with this place is when they clean the rooms the doors are left wide open. This means nature comes in, our room had a massive spider and mosquitoes. Aside from that, this was a good hotel.

Nice place but had a bit of trouble when renting bike
Reviewed By Rich BNice quiet place with good rooms. Close to beach (not really for swimming) with loads of restaurants (recommend Moonwalk). Had the usual problem with a crappy rented bike where I had to pay twice to fix the tyre and no refund / discount was forthcoming. Missed our boat because of it as well. Oh well, usual SE Asia thing I suppose. Money on legs...

Reviewed By juliawX9590MWMe and my boyfriend stayed here for two nights and were really pleased with our stay! The staff is very kind, helpful and genuine and the rooms are clean and well equipped. We rented a scooter from the hotel which was a very sufficient way to get around the island. Also, they have a restaurant next to the hotel which serves simple but very good breakfast and coffee. And it’s super cheap! We were overall very happy with the hotel and would warmly recommend it to others, both couples and families.

A little paradise on Koh Lanta

Krista and her team do a wonderful job at El Pillax Lanta Resort. Krista is so helpful and friendly. Her team of girls are just adorable. Friendly and helpful at all times. It’s a joy to be there. Our room was just fantastic. We were lucky enough to have their best room - No 1 - facing the pool with views to the ocean. Floor to ceiling walls and sliding doors on 2 sides - smoked privacy glass so you can see out but people can’t see in. Makes for a really bright room and great views. The sunsets are just amazing. The room was so comfortable- nice bathroom- large flatscreen TV with everything on - Netflix- YouTube etc. set up on the wall up high so perfect viewing from bed ! Fridge - room safe - everywhere was kept spotlessly clean at all times. Rooms cleaned every day perfectly and towels changed. Breakfast is very good with choice of eggs , real bacon and real sausages ! Served a la carte. The Resort is right on the beach. Beautiful views - very clean beach. If you leave the hotel and go on to beach and turn right you can easily walk to other beach bars & restaurants if you want a change of scene. The Massaman Curry and the Pad Thai are amazing at El Pillax tho. The bar is open whenever you like as is the pool. It doesn’t close at 6 or 7 pm as does every other resort we’ve been to. Extremely relaxing stay in a boutique environment. Staff and management could not have been nicer . Friendly- efficient- helpful and probably the best stay we have had in our extensive travels in Thailand this time and we’ve been travelling since January. Give El Pillax Lanta Resort a try. You won’t be disappointed.
