One night visit

Reviewed By Helena S

We stayed here for 1 night on our way home from getting married in gretna green. We booked the day before we arrived and got an amazingly cheap price for the room and service we received. We stayed in room 12 which is a superior king room with a patio and they had put a complimentary bottle of wine chilling in an ice bucket in for us on arrival, so lovely of them. It was spotlessly clean with a wonderful shower. The bed was super comfortable, however a mattress topper as well as a protector would have made it perfect as this would have covered the zip and link feature (joins 2 singles as a superking). This is so minor though and did not affect our sleep at all. The pub and gardens are immaculate. The breakfast was delicious. The staff are attentive and polite and really are a credit to the inn. Thank you for our wonderful stay .

OK for 1 night !

Tiny rooms, although clean they are in need of some tidying up in areas. Paint peeling off skirting boards, stains on the carpet and very small double bed ! mattress was solid. Bathroom was lovely, though you couldn’t sit on the toilet properly, not enough leg room. Communal area was very dated, breakfast room was dark and dingy, average breakfast expensive at £14 ! Location was good for what we needed.

An outstanding Yorkshire Dales pub/hotel/restaurant.

I couldn’t say enough about this fabulous friendly traditional Yorkshire pub/hotel. Food is outstanding, as is the beer, all matched by the warm genuine and friendly staff. Pizza night was amazing, I believe there is a real stone pizza oven. Plenty of options for eating, from the snug, to the restaurant area. B and B was also spot on. Clean comfortable rooms with plenty of amenities, breakfast as good as it could be, they even trim the bacon fat if asked!!! I’ll be back. Strongly recommended. Go there!!!

Harrogate break!

Reviewed By markcherry

My wife and myself will have been here for 3nts by the time we go home tomorrow and it’s been a brilliant little place to stay in Harrogate.Wynnstay House is tucked away in a quiet tree lined avenue about a 10mins stroll from the town centre.Parking isn’t a problem as you get given a permit to put in your car so that you don’t get booked. We stayed in the Huntly room on the top floor which was a good sized room with everything that we needed and the added bonus was that it was very quiet all the time.We just had the continental breakfast which was adequate but you can have a fully cooked breakfast at an added cost. We can recommend this place to stay and if in the area again we wouldn’t hesitate to stay again as the owner is very friendly and very helpful.

This very comfortable Café with rooms is delightful. We made a last minute decision to stay over and booked over the phone. We had the twin room as the Double and Shepherd’s Hut were taken. It was a very comfortable room spotlessly clean and having a nice view. Breakfast (included) is taken in the Café and was very good indeed.
