Lovely location only 5 minutes walk from the John O'Groats signpost. The hotel rooms are very clean. The dining room where we ate breakfast was very quiet and our breakfast choice that we were asked to make the previous evening, was served promptly. Our evening meal was very good and a good drinks menu is also available. Open aspects around the hotel that is only a short drive from the Duncansby Lighthouse and Stacks. Thank you

Stayed in Room 5 for 1 night. Arrived late about 7 ish after a long drive. The guesthouse has private parking for about 4 cars in marked bays. For breakfast, Impala has a pre-order form, but I was leaving early to catch the ferry to Orkney and would not have had time for breakfast. The owner offered to make a lunch bag instead which was really nice of her. The room was smallish, but that’s fine for an overnight stay. The room had a chair, kettle and enough tea/coffee to last a couple of days. The mattress was thick, with a slightly soft firmness, but comfortable. The covers and pillows were thick and cosy. Location wise, Impala is far out from the centre of Wick, so you’ll need a car if you’re planning to eat out. Overall, I had a good stay and would stay again.

It’s really a 5 star Highland retreat -it’s all you could want or need

Stayed here for 2 nights after a very stressful week and family bereavement. It was simply the best. From the moment we arrived to the moment we left we were spoiled rotten. I was so touched that my gluten free meals were so carefully prepared and Sue (the owner) even did a drive to Ullapool to get Gluten Free gravy. Having just drove that road let me tell you it’s not just like popping to the local Tescos down the road! So thank you Sue. Rooms are by far the best we have seen in this area. For the price it’s even better you will not and can not be disappointed. Bed was so comfy and the rooms have such lovely touches with tartan cushions and cute bedside tables and coasters and little tea tables. Along with a lovely little kitchenette stocked with all you could need. Shower was great and the best water for your hair honestly !! But with the delicious home cooked meals and great gins next door don’t bother cooking for your self. I would opt for the fab breakfast and dinners by Sue. We felt completely at easy and seriously loved every minute there. So much so we booked an extra night. It was just 5 star from start to finish. Loved loved loved it. X as for the views look at the pictures they speak for themselves.

We stayed for one night in room 12 and it was great, the room was huge with plenty of space and a comfortable bed. The staff were fantastic and made us and our dog feel welcome. We had a lovely meal in the evening followed by a few drinks in the bar. Breakfast was good and we enjoyed a walk after breakfast along the beach to see Dunrobin Castle.

Inver Park House

Our home, Inver Park House, is a modern, comfortable, warm place to stay in Dunbeath, with 3 large letting bedrooms on the ground floor, one of which is suitable for wheelchair users. All the bedrooms are ensuite, and all have fridges, TVs, and tea and coffee making facilities. Prices include breakfast, which can be anything from a full Scottish to a light healthy option. Vegetarian, vegan and gluten-free options are available by arrangement. The south-east facing breakfast room looks out of large windows to the Moray Firth. The house is fully accessible, with a ramp to the front door from the adjacent car parking area. We have a large, very efficient drying room, and a dry shed to store bicycles safely. We can provide a laundry service, and can also provide packed lunches by prior arrangement. We do whatever we can to make guests feel well-looked-after! Although I do not provide evening meals, Inver Park House is only 400 metres from an excellent restaurant.

My Son, after 3 days walking from John O Groats wild camping was advised that the Inverpark was a great place to stay, he was not disappointed. From a very warm welcome and great advice from the owner to the excellent facilities he was well rested to recommence his walk the following day. After the first few days receiving some unfriendly receptions he said it was so refreshing to stay within the Inverpark caravan and camping site. He highly recommends this stop off for all who are on this route

Perfect if you are cycling the NC500 or LEJOG

Reviewed By michaelspeed

We stayed here on day 5/6 of our NC500 cycling trip and it had everything that we needed: bike storage, drying room, washing machine, kitchen. The beer and food in the bar/restaurant was good, and the atmosphere was friendly and welcoming. The rooms were spacious and clean. We had to share a bathroom; but that was fine. It's a perfect, stress free, setup for cyclists doing the NC500/JEJOG I would like to make a special shout out to the owners who were particularly friendly, helpful and welcoming. I came off my bike on the day we cycled to the Bannockburn Inn and suffered particularly bad road rash, cuts and bruises. Alison (who is a qualified first aider), made sure I had everything I needed to deal with my injuries and even offered to drive me to Inverness the next day if I needed (luckily I didn't). A big thanks again Alison! I will definitely go back if I'm cycling that way again.

Small dog friendly B&B in the Highlands coastal village of Golspie, just 5 minutes from Dunrobin Castle. Quiet location 200 yards from Golspie Golf Club.

Great place to stay

We enjoyed our stay at Invicta House. The room was clean and comfortable with a good shower. The bed was very comfy and fell asleep quickly. The hosts were friendly and helpful. The breakfast was fresh and tasty with a continental option also available. The location is convenient for the NC500 route and attractions like Dunrobin Castle. Our room was described as having 'a mountain view' which was a bit misleading but did have a nice view of the garden.
