Reviewed By sphiri2018The lodge is situated in a very quiet suburb away from the noisy central business district and has daily shuttle service. Rooms are clean and very spacious. The welcome and reception is very pleasing. Security is good round the clock. Guests are treated as family and check-in and out is very efficient.

Sondela Guest House is a beautiful family home that is owner run and strives to deliver the very best Zimbabwean hospitality. Spacious en suite rooms and manicured gardens make for a very comfortable stay. Generous full English breakfast, a hospitality bar, swimming pool, wi-fi and secured parking leave guests wanting little more, except to return again and again.

The rooms are well kept making the place clean and hygienic. Should you wish to cater for yourself, there are rooms available with a fully fitted kitchen. They offer a great place to kickstart your day on a good note. Mavuna is located a couple of kilometres from shops making things accessible should one want to get last minute items. There's a KFC nearby as well =) The service is great and felt really genuine. I've got nothing but praise for the staff. They were considerate, very thoughtful and always on hand to help out with any queries. The pool is a great touch and in summer, it serves its purpose well. Bulawayo may get hot so a dip in the pool is a must. The water always looks good, no matter the time of the day.

Simple Yet Exquisite
Reviewed By goodufooduI was there for a business trip to Bulawayo and this hotel was excellent. We arrived early so our rooms weren't ready yet but despite the inconvenience caused they got them prepared as we waited. The staff were always helpful and friendly, whether it was charging my phone because I forgot my charger or opening the pool for me. Not to mention the excellent food! The dishes were simple but I must give kudos to the chef at the Lodge, they really know how to make simple meals taste fantastic. I particularly loved the poached eggs for breakfast and the food was well-prepared whether it was buffet or not. Anyone who visits the City of Kings should definitely take some time to enjoy this place. The manager was also lovely and always asking us how we were and if our stay was comfortable. I regret that I don't remember her name but she was very sweet and professional.

Reviewed By MelodyM877We’re revered here by holiday inn because holiday inn was full. So it was good we got accommodation . They are new, they talked about expanding which they really should . We shared a toilet with another room. That was the worst part of the stay . Book in advance & ask for a bedroom with en-suite

Reviewed By 1960ldpHighly recommended. Comfortable and relaxed atmosphere in an historic old Colonial house. Rooms are very clean and comfortable with a nice garden and pool area. Service and breakfast was great. On special request dinner was served to a group of 6 people. It was a pleasant experience with good and tasty food. The hosts are very kind and helpful on local activities.

Reviewed By S'kha mThe Lodge is neatly kept and well maintes from entrance to the reception, which is a thumbs up for me, adherence to Covid 19, a tick, the staff is friendly and they take their time to explain and take you on a tour around the Area, construction on the side which is a sign of growth. The rooms are clean, bathrooms, with shower, Jaccuzi as well, the rooms range from Exec to Standard and much much affordable. Its work a Visit.
