Interestingly, the property owner himself a birder and photographer. He is the ideal person to guide people who are coming for birding. GH has nice wall garden and bird houses. Food is good here. GH is at walkable distance from the sanctuary, but located little interior, first comers may struggle a bit to locate it. Tariff is reasonable. I recommend this property for birders needing cheap and best accommodation for longer stay. Advance booking is adviced.

Since i was child i used to go to the bird sanctuary because it was close to my home. that time cattle are allowed in the bird sanctuary. i spend my whole day there , there i meet SALIM ALI one of the best birdwatcher in the world . i worked under him many years.After completed my studies i was attracted towards nature. then i got training from government of Rajasthan for the guide then i got my license and start working in bird sanctuary. After that i worked as a guide in all over India with the people of India, Bangladesh,Nepal as a tour guide. Now i am running a small home stay . i want people should come here so i can share my knowledge with them and my experience.

Reviewed By Amitava SI have not rated anyone as terrible etc ever. So let's call it a constructive criticism. Unfortunately there is nothing good to speak about Jungle Lodge. I quite appreciate the hard work & effort of Mr. Ashok Singh & his wife (an elderly couple) to run this homestay (as described by them). Both of them man & manage every activity. There isn't any other sole in the premises - be it maintenance, housekeeping, room service etc. This didn't seem be a feasible option to me. We reached the place around 9:30 pm. We had 3 strolley bags with us. We were booked in 2 rooms in 1st floor. The couple picked up the bags & went up the first floor. We felt bad - but we are senior citizens too. We couldn't have gone up the steep stair with the bags. I don't think if they employ required manpower, provide one small soap in the room & increase the tariff by Rs. 100 or 200, they will be out of business. Left to their prudence in this competitive market - I wish them all the best. May be they are targeting bag packers, low budget tourists. At least we won't visit them again. I have seen / stayed in several homestays in Sikkim, North east etc. Those are well equipped, manned, maintained & managed.

Reviewed By himani27sThe location of the hotel is all what is nice. food was ok, management was bad, rooms are small, if you ask for an extra bed in room they vl just give you a mattress on floor, bathrooms are bad needs to be repair.. They vl just add money in your bill for each and everything. Place is nice in built but very poor management. One should avoid this place to stay specially with a kid. At the time of checkout all they offer you is nothing but a heavy loaded bill which they do not discuss earlier.

The best guest house all over india
Reviewed By thanato23I often travel all over india and it's the best guest house where i've been. The owner is very kind and take care of you during all the time that you stay. The room are REALLY CLEAN , even the bathroom. You can take the food in this guesthouse, it's typical indian food, really really good , and if you don't like too spicy (for continental people) , they can manage it for you. If you ask anything about time of train or bus, the owner is always happy to help you and give to you real advice. And if you have a question about the keoladeo park, you can ask him. The brother's owner is a guide inside a park and he is always happy to answer you about your ask, without trying all the time to sell something to you. If you come to bharatpur, it's definitly in this guesthouse where you must go. Steven (french)

Ours is a small, family-run establishment. Though we do not yet have any ambitious expansions plans, we sure want to run our setup as efficiently as we possibly can. Tourist flow to Bharatpur is seasonal - December, January, February being the heaviest months; October-November & March-April are less so; May to September is the usual off-season period, and we may offer about 20-30% discount on our room tariff (only). Though we do maintain skeletal room service (admittedly), we encourage all our guests to interact and eat at our restaurant on the ground floor - we ensure that you get absolutely fresh and literally steaming hot food that way !

Reviewed By tigerwatcherI stayed for 6 nights in Jan/Feb.It was my 5th time at the Falcon and it certainly feels like home from home.The cost of the rooms are very,very reasonable and are immaculately maintained.The home cooked meals are from totally fresh ingredients and made to suit your requirements.However,what makes the Falcon such a great place to stay are the owners who go out of their way to help you as a matter of course.Nothing is too much trouble for them.Many thanks to Tej,his wife Rajini and daughter Tina .Hope to see you all again in the not too distance future.
