Adorable stay!

Mountain Guesthouse is perfect. The rooms are clean and quite. Sometimes you hear the noise of the streets, but it is Nepal. You get used to it and it’s charming in some kind of way. The location is perfect, just around the corner of Durbar square, and in front of a really nice temple, where you see a lot of locals bringing their offers and doing their rituals. The owner is super kind and makes to most nice breakfast. A bit of a combination between local food, with western: really good bara, some patatoes, with toast and egg as well. Served with tea or coffee. He even got me a famous king curd when I told I love them so much!

Pradhan House - Home Stay

Excellent location, brilliant home stay, lovely couple

Reviewed By lauraBking

This home stay is located in the beautiful old part of Bhaktapur, and is a welcoming, homely environment from the minute you arrive. Ganesh and his wife are lovely people, very attentive and happy to answer any questions or help you in any way. The food was charged separate to the room, but is not expensive. It was absolutely delicious Nepalese food, and everyone staying there thought the same. We left very early the next day for Pokhara, but they put us a breakfast in a bag to take, which we very much appreciated! Ganesh then walked 4 of us to the bus stop, got on a local bus with us and took us to the tourist bus stop, waiting until we were on the bus before leaving. We thought this was so lovely of him, not many people would bother to do that. NOTE - You have to pay 1500 rupees per person to enter the old town and reach this home stay, but it’s worth it and you would probably pay this anyway as it’s a beautiful, historic part of town to visit.

The hotel is in a great location in the heart of Pottery Square. The room was cosy (pun intended) and included satellite TV and water bottles. The toilet was very small and had a musty smell. The reception claims you can pay with credit card until checkout when attempting to do so it did not work.

Authentic place in the middle of historical Bakthapur

This is more like „night in the museum” than a hotel stay! Place is simply amazing and authentic. But the best feature is it’s Hosts, friendly, dedicated and charming people who make you feel at home. Oh, not to mention that you are in the middle of historical Bakthapur center and can experience morning pujas right out of your doors.

Milla Guesthouse Bhaktapur

Milla Guesthouse is located on a quiet square in the historic town of Bhaktapur, a 5 minute walk from the World Heritage Site of Dattatraya Square. As a home-away-from home refuge, the guesthouse has been designed by Götz Hagüller, the architect of the Patan Museum and the Garden of Dreams in Kathmandu. Balancing modern and traditional architecture, it is built in brick with wooden ceilings, timber floors in the bedrooms and with terracotta tile-floors in the rest of the house. The furniture is made by local craftsmen and designed by the architect. The terracotta tiles are handmade after an traditional design. Opened in 2013 with only two rooms, the guesthouse now has four double rooms (two with balcony) with attached bathroom. Solar-voltaic electricity, solar hot-water, gas-room-heating, Wi-Fi connection throughout the guesthouse. Guests can enjoy a sitting/breakfast room with terrace and kitchen on the top floor.

Wonderful hospitality in a newly renovated traditional Newari guesthouse

Reviewed By vvasic

We stayed at Milla guesthouse for one night. The house is beautiful and clean, and the suites have a traditional feel, but are fully modernized. The tiles and bathtub are made from local clay, which is a unique touch! The bed is big and extremely comfortable. There is a rooftop balcony with a wonderful view of Bhaktapur, and a fully stocked kitchen on the top floor. We especially enjoyed the breakfast, with homemade jam and bread served with great hospitality and a wonderful view of the city. The shower is also very cool! The staff were extremely friendly and accommodating. The only thing that could have been slightly better was the WiFi reception in the room. However, overall, I would highly recommend Milla Guesthouse to anyone wanting to experience an authentic and comfortable guesthouse in Bhaktapur!
