Beautiful view, nice rooms and staff with a heart for cats
Reviewed By 662mzWe stayed 3 nights at the end of September and were very satisfied with the hotel. Our room "Aurora" was nice and clean and had a gorgeous sea view, with a small balcony around. If you are not a morning person, the shutters allow to block the sunrise light. The only negative point is the rather busy road below with "crazy" :-) Italian drivers making noise even late at night. The hallways and entry are very clean and nicely furnished. The breakfast is served on a terrace with a gorgeous view, offering diverse hot and cold food of rather good quality. What warmed our hearts is the care the hotel staff gave to the several cats living around the hotel, even though cats apparently are not so appreciated by the people there. We hope this will continue in the future! If you like swimming, the Lido degli artisti is just a few steps (+ many vertical steps, as every on the Amalfi coast) away - beautiful water with sunbeds to rent on a secluded beach!

Tremendous boutique hotel for our honeymoon

The rooms are spacious and very chic (with A/C to boot!), and the location is to die for - mere steps away from the heart of the town and beach. A surprising highlight was the breakfast - it was a truly impressive spread with tons of still-hot-from-the-oven pastries, fresh fruits, meats, and cheeses, and made to order coffees (perhaps the best cappuccino in Amalfi!), served on a beautiful terrace overlooking the town. On top of all that, the staff is beyond superb. The same three staff are ever-present, making the place feel like a very intimate family-run business - Lydia welcomed us every morning to breakfast warmly, the two gentlemen somehow figured out it was our honeymoon and left us a surprise bottle of Prosecco, and all were extremely helpful with recommendations. In short, this is a extremely beautiful boutique hotel with a warm family-run atmosphere. I would recommend this place to anyone visiting the Amalfi!

What a dissappointment

First of all room was not so clean you can see dusts around window, radiator and the walls. Bed was not so comfortable. Mini refrigerator was not working properly we couldnt make cold our bottle of waters. Then bathtub was really problematic that when were takin shower tube was leaking water to ground of bathroom so whenever we had shower we cleaned bathroom by ourselves and they didnt change wet foot towels in the bathroom. Also everyone says that breakfast good but we didnt had good breakfast. Croissants was supermarket quality, and milk that she gave to us for cereal it was not enough for it. Iam talking about 24 gr little kelloggs package. Also there was a jacuzzi and sunbed in the garden, second day I wanted use just lay down 1 hour on the sunbed but she told me that I have to pay 20 euros. Day after in the breakfast, probably she understood her mistake and told my italian friend that jacuzzi was dirty so she didnt let me to use it but she totaly was lied and I didnt asked her to use jacuzzi. Everyone says in the comments she is nice but in my experience she just put her face fake smiles.

Reviewed By Paradise01794443152What a beautifull place to stay!!, a lovely room with terras and seavieuw, a private beach and a beautiful terrasgarden where one can have a lovely breakfast, lunch or diner, which you can order at the last moment, no problem, they even prepared a snack for my hungry son late in the evening. But above all the staf; Felix and the others really did all their best to provide us a super pleasant stay and we had real fun together, thank you for everything!!, your smile, you warm welcome and a big bag of oranges and lemons which were given to us when we left. Peppe and Chiara greeted us on arrival and could not have been more helpful. We had an issue with our driver not being able to find the villa when departing so Peppe phoned him several times to give directions etc. The room was amazing and the view from our balcony was spectacular. We booked the London suite. The TV came with English speaking channels aswell as Netflix - something not all hotels on the coast offer. With Positano famous for so many steep climbs for beaches, restaurants, shops etc. we found the location of the villa to be perfect. 10 minutes to the nearest beach while a 2 minute walk got you to several restaurants and a shop. Reviewed By Francesca KBrilliant, clean room, beautiful view, stunning building with an old fashioned lift. Vincenzo, was an excellent host, providing nice coffee and italian pastries in the morning. He had sufficient english and was incredibly helpful with maps of Salerno and ferry times. He went above and beyond for me as a host, when i realised as i got to the airport that i had lost my money, he searched the room found it and transfered me the cash. He was kind, happy and courteous. Our stay was made easier and safer. I would recommend to couples or families, or 2 exploring girls like myself and my best friend who stayed ! Wonderful 5 stars for the host. Comfortable room.

Expect fresh fruit salads, golden croissants, fresh cheese and antipasto, jams, and butter for breakfast all in large proportion to inject you with happiness! The location is perfect as it's just a breath away from the main square, offers a parking space (ideal if you're a traveling photographer) a gorgeous view of the village back and breeze aplenty under the pergola. Aside from the gentle clicking of the plates and cups in the kitchen (a sheer pleasure if you ask me) you'll only hear birds chirping, cicadas, and the occasional church bells. Spacious and comfortable Il Ducato di Ravello's rooms are traditionally tiled , sure to channel that Amalfi Coast mood, super cool and relaxing, and the beds will lull you to sleep in no time.
