Willow Street is a census-designated place (CDP) in Lancaster County, Pennsylvania, United States. The population was 8,908 at the 2016 census. In the early part of the 20th century the main thoroughfare in town was lined with willow trees on both sides for the length of the town, hence the community's name. As time marched on and the town grew, the road was widened and sidewalks were installed which required the trees be removed. Only a few of the original trees remain to this day.

I live very close to the Hans Herr house, and I am also something of a local historian.24 years ago I purchased and refurbished another historical property of the same circa, 1719.
The area I live in is replete with pre-revolutionary history and remarkably much of it had been preserved.
The house is a delight to visit and instantly brings you back to another era. The museum is staffed with knowledge people with many exhibits, books and maps.When I was researching my present home, the staff and their resourses were critical in allowing us to get an accurate history of the property.

We thoroughly enjoyed this historical and energetic musical set within an Irish Pub named McCourts. The 6 performers had marvelous voices and you could tell they enjoyed what they were doing. Amazing! I’ve been here 3 times for 3 different bible stories and have enjoyed/love all of them. Can’t wait to see go this year. Recommend for anyone. Church groups, friends, couples, family, is for everyone.

What a great way to spend some family time! No better way to pass the day than getting some fresh air while touring the quiet, back roads of the Amish countryside & taking tons of pictures! The Fall foliage was absolutely beautiful! We couldn't have asked for a better day OR GUIDE. Cookie, our guide was a hoot! Very knowledgeable, funny & PATIENT. Highly recommended. You won’t be disappointed!

I wanted to give this a 5 star....I really did! After reading the great reviews...with camera in hand, I eagerly drove down the path. Maybe I took the wrong route? The road is gravel...and not bad, until we went through the tunnel. After that it was downhill, both literally and figuratively. I was there on Aug 21st, and it has been a hot, dry summer, so this road was not rutted and washed out from any recent bad weather. At one point I had my passenger get out of the car to guide me over some LARGE holes. (I was driving a Honda CRV too). Fortunately I did not bottom out. We powered forward and got to the bottom of a hill, where there were a couple of pick up trucks full of teens. I felt like we were interrupting their hang out or party. Still, we kept going thinking that any minute we might find parking and a bounty of flowers. We didn't see either. We drove around a corner and now the road was looking washed out and I could not at all see if there were ruts or what was under the water. We had to slowly and carefully turn around (no easy feat) and head back the way we just came. I am sure the teenagers were getting a good laugh at our expense. Lol. The trip up the hill and through the tunnel was just as knuckle gripping as it was on the way in.
As I said earlier, based upon the reviews, I am sure there is some real beautiful flowers to be seen in this spot. I was just not able to make it that far. Use caution and I am sure you will be fine. I did lose cell service, so I was not willing to risk a break down without the ability to contact help.

We always love the shows at the American music theater. The Christmas show was spectacular. The voices, the dancing, the music, the costumes all made to show a wonderful experience. I do wish the staff would be a little bit friendlier. Many seem to lose their patients very quickly when asked questions. Maybe it was just the hecticness of the season.

Back at the Choo Choo Barn again. This time to see it decked out for Christmas. As usual, we weren't disappointed. All of the Holiday decorations and little additions were perfect. And during when it's "nighttime" there, some of the decorations and Christmas trees even light up. Plan on going around the display at least twice in order to see some of things you might have missed the first time.

Although we paid for both courses, we only did the longer course. Because of the lines at each hole (and we chose the course with the shortest line), it took us a few hours just to get through these 22 holes. I "collect" visits to central markets around the world. Lancaster's is small in comparison to some, but delivers all the sights, smells, and experiences that one wants. About half of the stalls are true agricultural market stalls featuring produce and meats. All were fresh-looking and full of beautiful produce. About a fourth of the stalls were prepared foods where one could gather the components of a meal. Old Amish and central Pennsylvania dishes were prominent among these, such as pickled beet eggs, mac salad, and broccoli salad. And the final fourth of the stalls were "other" things such as dog biscuits, candles, and souvenirs. There were a couple small tables for eating one's purchases, but no real dining area. Prices were very reasonable. One could find gifts here to take back home, such as cheeses, sausages, and non-edibles. The market is located in the middle of a block, tucked behind the Lancaster City Visitors Center, just cater-corner from the front door of the Marriott at Penn Square. Don't mistake it for the building labeled "Southern Farmers' Market" a block away which is an office.
