I took my 2.5 year old and she absolutely loved it. The staff are very friendly and helpful and it's great value for money. It's not to big to get overwhelmed or lost in with large crowds. The seals are free to use so great for small children although you have to take turns but the staff are great at making sure everyone gets ago. Highly recommended.

The Nature Discovery Centre is a visitor centre on a nature reserve on the outskirts of Thatcham, Berkshire. This fantastic visitor centre is packed full of interactive wildlife and natural history displays. There is a network of footpaths ranging from small family-friendly walks to longer paths for the more adventurous, and the bird hide offers a perfect opportunity to watch the world go by. We also have a Lakeside Cafe where you can enjoy hot and cold homemade food and drinks looking out over the lake.
I’ve been coming here for a while now, even more so since my son has reached an age where he enjoys walks more than ever. It’s a great place to visit, easy parking available with charity donation parking machines. There is 2 parks, one for younger children and one for older children both of which are great! There is toilets at the entrance of the centre. From the moment you arrive you’re greeted by beautiful scenery and stunning views. There are all sorts of beautiful trees, at this time of year it’s full of daffodils and flowering cherry blossom trees. There are swans and different types of ducks, it’s really beautiful. Perfect picnic areas, perfect for families, couples and dog lovers!

Overlooking the Kennet Valley, Bowdown Woods is the Berks, Bucks, & Oxon Wildlife Trust's biggest woodland reserve in Berkshire - and for sheer variety of wildlife throughout the year, it's hard to beat.
Fantastic place to walk with a couple of paths to take, either a concrete path suitable for buggies or wheelchairs or a wilder path. This has several small bridges to cross & steep hills but fewer people! Stunning bluebells in the woods & masses of other wildflowers to view. A couple of car parks to choose from, the smaller one has a gate to open to access it though. A really nice family friendly walk to see nature at it's best.

Come and learn about these fascinating animals and they take them for a walk through the beautiful Berkshire countryside
We went on an alpaca walk in Dorchester on Thames, with Joker and Enigma. The experience was absolutely fantastic and well worth the money! Thank you Sharon for being our guide - you can see that the animals are treated well and are really funny and happy.
