This park's 3,775 acres have miles of hiking and biking trails, and clean, uncrowded beaches.
One of the best state parks in Wisconsin to say the least! This is an extremely beautiful place with great features throughout!
We really enjoyed camping in Nicolet Bay Area and being close to the bathrooms as well as the beach! There's a great snack bar/concession stand there and well kept showers. Bicycles are welcome and great to ride about in the park.
The golf course here is outstanding, the views all about including the bay and the trails beckons exploration. There's a park theater, gorgeous beaches and a wonderful play area for the children. Not too far away from the downtown of Fish Creek or the short drive to Sister Bay' Absolutely enjoyed the opportunity to camp here! Wonderful....

Musical Comedies to Delight Folks of All Ages. Northern Sky presents a rotating repertory of family friendly & affordable shows "under the stars" at our Peninsula State Park Amphitheater in Fish Creek June - August. The fall season moves indoors to the Door Community Auditorium September & October. "One of the most exceptional professional troupes in the country." Chicago Tribune.
"Naked Radio" is a wonderful evening's entertainment, full of funny lines, crazy sight gags and talented actor/musicians. Molly Rhode is beyond superb in playing a double-handful of characters and several musical instruments. Chase Stoeger facial expressions and body movements keep you in stitches. We've been repeating some of the memorable lines for the past three days and laughing all over again. Fun, fun stuff.

A Farmstead Creamery making our own cheese from our herd of dairy goats and local farm milk. This milk and cheese are used to create fresh baked sandwiches and handmade gelato. Also available are hand picked value wines and craft beers.
Incredibly good goat cheese offerings. Super creamy gelato. Superb sandwiches. The BEST chocolate chip cookie I have had in my life. Great wines and beers. Once we discovered this gem we came back almost every other day for something. Cheese to take home. Lunch. Gelato. A cookie. Cookies and gelato. Samples. A bottle of wine. Everything is top notch. We also went on the Farm Tour, which was an absolute delight. If reveiws only allowed one word it would be: GO!

Nice little park with a great view. There are some steps to reach the view, and a very short stretch of mildly uneven grounds to reach the walkway at the very edge of the cliff. Safety railings and fence are in place so it's safe for most folks. It didn't need a lot of time and is pleasant, if you made it this far north you really ought to take the extra few minutes to stop here.

There are a lot of markets in door county, but if you can only visit one, this is the one to go to! From the moment you walk in the door, you have the opportunity to sample all their wonderful dips, sauces, jams, mustards, etc! The market is set up nicely with some fun gift items too and a bakery to boot. Wonderful place to stock up on DC goodies!

This park is a great place to relax for a few minutes, maybe catch a cool breeze and let the kids play on the equipment. It's easy to miss - located next to the marina right behind the Wild Tomato.

The Hardy Gallery was showing their 55th Juried Art Show when we visited the weekend before the Fourth. The Hardy is a seasonal gallery housed in an old barn on the Anderson dock just north of downtown Ephraim. The exterior of the barn is a well-known signature "book" for thousands of Door County tourists over the years. Photographers often shoot the barn against the limestone bluffs of Peninsula State Park across the harbor.
Door County is an arts community with a variety of two- and three-dimensional medium. The juried show featured 70 artists working in pencils and pastels all the way to pottery and sculpture. Most of the pieces have a professional rather than amateur quality that you might find in weekend art shows. An interesting exhibit this year asks visitors to exchange found object in their pockets for Door County seed balls that can be taken home and planted. In the past we have purchased pieces from the show. This year we are still thinking.

Cider House with tasting room and cider pub. Normandy style ciders made from apples grown at our Washington Island orchard and from our Door County neighbors. Open from April thru December.
I've been a cider lover ever since a trip to the UK 30 years ago but it has taken the US a long time to catch up. Most brands I've had are too sweet, too fruity, too bubbly. Island Orchard knows how to make it right. The lavender cider is amazing, we fell in love with it and bought a case.

Water Street Gallery has recently undergone a transformation. But the art and the local knowledge of local artist Frederic Bridenhagen is wonderful. Fred clearly never met a stranger, and his incredible selection of reasonably-priced, beautifully matted and framed works of myriad local artists of various styles, makes Water Street Gallery a must-stop if you have any thought of purchasing local art. Door County has a multitude of talented artists and this gallery has works from many of them. The additional businesses on this properties grounds gives visitors a wide variety of items to shop from, and several eclectic styles. Located in the heart of Ephraim, no visit to this village would be complete without a visit to the Water Street Gallery!

Two tours to choose from: 1. Half Day Washington Island Tour that starts on the mainland. We take a ferry to the island then visit many of the sites. Includes lunch and a guided tour of the island by Segway. https://glidenew.com/activities/washington-island-half-day-tour/ 2. Ellison Bluff Tour- We will pass high bluffs and cherry orchards as we glide through the heart of Door County's cherry orchard industry. We glide down picturesque Beach Road and down a gravel road to Ellison Bluff County Park. This serene glide goes below the limestone bluffs, and experiences amazing views of Green Bay.
This tour was definitely a great tour of seeing the nature in Door County, including natural park areas and shoreline/cliffs. The weather was a bit cool (October!) so bundle up accordingly! The breeze/wind off the water can be chilly this time of year. Our tour guide was knowledgeable about the area, super friendly and informative. Segway tours are a fun way to be in the outdoors without a lot of manual labor (walking or peddling; the Segway does all the work)!
