The wine here is fabulous. Devil's Gulch Pinot Noir is one of the best I have ever had, Chardonnay is top notch, and even a really good Riesling. Across the board VERY well made wines...and the wine and sushi pairing is to die for. High quality sushi well paired with excellent wines. I've been kicking myself for not coming here sooner than this year...we will definitely be back. The tasting room personnel are very professional and knowlegable, as well...what more could you ask for?

Visiting Sebastopol without walking up Florence Ave. is like visiting Paris without stopping by the Eiffel Tower -- don't skip it. Florence Avenue is 1/3 of a mile (.33) in length and only 3 blocks off Main Street. Most, if not all, homes on the street have a whimsical Amiot in the front yard, many of which reflect something about the resident(s). It takes less than 10 min to walk the length without stopping and the art is wonderfully clever!

Merry Edwards Winery was founded in 1997 by one of California’s first highly successful female winemakers. We produce critically acclaimed, terroir-driven, single-vineyard Pinot Noirs from 80 acres of estate vineyards in the Russian River Valley as well as three appellation blends – Russian River Valley Pinot Noir, Sonoma Coast Pinot Noir and Russian River Valley Sauvignon Blanc. Why it took me a year and a half to write this review will always be a mystery, COVID perhaps? In any case I will say that my girlfriend and I are not Pinots fans but we love Chards. We arrive to this winery as the first stop in Sonoma after a full week in Paradise-Napa (staying at Paloma Vineyard). Andrew Lynch was our server and he was super accommodating and friendly, we started with some of their Chardonnays which we really liked, then we moved to the Pinots that we found a bid acidic, which translate to a good aging potential and we also had something to eat that I cannot recall now. The whole experience was super good, the place is beautiful, and the facility is modern with a comfortable setup and nice views. We bought a couple of bottle of an older vintage of their top Chardonnay and it turn out they weren’t as good as the current releases. Just a side note! Enjoy Lynmar Estate and ask for Andrew Lynch.

Paul Hobbs Winery

Reviewed By jlgourley - Nashville, United States

I was introduced to Paul Hobbs several years ago, and it has become - by far - my favorite winery. I am not picky about wines; I enjoy a less expensive option just as much as a more expensive option. However, Paul Hobbs offers wines that are above and beyond. Even my unsophisticated palate recognizes the superiority of these wines! Truly a great value for the money. As far as the tasting goes, that was a treat as well! Tyson took excellent care of us, and we enjoyed a lovely food and wine pairing. We also took a brief tour of the grounds. This winery is a MUST for your next trip to Sonoma! (Or in our case, Napa; the drive is well worth it!)

Ragle Ranch Regional Park

I regularly walk my dog at Ragle. The part of the park that fronts Ragle Road is "urban", with tennis courts, volleyball pits, play structures, soccer fields, and ballparks. The back of the park is fast becoming a wildlife refuge. Don't get me wrong, you can walk a dog on a leash, but in an area separated from the city boundary of Sebastopol. It's very good birding spot, jogging trail, and dog walk all in one. Sebastopol is very lucky.
