I dove with Sydney Dive Safari and specifically Gregory last week. It was a twin guided shore dive in Kurnell in search of Weedy Sea Dragons (I had limited time in Sydney and wanted a 'guaranteed' location for weedies and this was suggested).
Overall, Sydney Dive Safari has great gear and seems like a great operations. Communication could be a bit better/easier (maybe adding Whatsapp option so overseas folks can contact them more cost effectively).
Similarly a bit more 'organised' would have been great. I tend to be very punctual in such trips hence I showed up just before the quoted time of 9am having had to go through the city to be on time this early... only to be told we had to wait till 10am for another person... who never came in the end.
That said, the dives were great. Gregory was very helpful, wonderful to hang out with but most importantly had spare equipment that proved incredibly useful as I didnt expect the 21c water and didnt pack my gloves! He was also able to spot lots of stuff I didnt even see or know where to look for!
In the end... we didnt see weedies... which was a let down but wild animals are unpredictable. Visibility wasnt perfect and they are tiny... and current was strong so I guess they were hiding in the kelp.
On the bright side we did see a wobbygong, 2 huge cuttlefish, stonefish, pipefish, a ray and a few more 'local' typical fish and the two dives were great.

Bronte Beach

Bronte Beach, sandwiched between the bigger Bondi and Coogee Beaches, is a cozier stretch of sand and surf perfect for families.

Reviewed By Caleb W - Benoni, South Africa

Bronte is a nice tranquil beach, with a convenient grassed area behind the beach. In terms of a pure swimming beach Bondi is better and has more space. Worth doing the walk from Bondi to Bronte beach.

Sydney Harbour

Secluded Beaches, quiet coves and soaring headlands predominate this harbor, which is considered one of the world's most beautiful.

Reviewed By Graham59Buderim - Buderim

Fantastic place to visit, has great harbour views, cafes, fast food, restaurants and more. Great busking from local musicians adds to the ambience. Regular ferry services to take you all over the harbour. Our hotel was within walking distance to the harbour as is many of the hotels in this area. Cruise ships frequent the international cruise terminal opposite the Opera House and by Sydney harbour bridge, great tourist destination. Recommend on your bucket list!!

Maroubra Beach

Reviewed By mrdom

Maroubra is the biggest beach in the eastern suburbs and is pretty easy to park at and easy to find good spots on the sand. The swimming is often good, with good waves above fairly shallow water. Just stay away from the surfers. Unfortunately, the facilities were poor at both the north and south ends - filthy change rooms and outside showers that weren't working.

Wylie's Baths

One of many sea baths in Sydney – a walled-off section of ocean – this one is particularly popular with locals, and includes changing rooms, a picnic area, a kiosk and outdoor massages and yoga.

As a Coogee native, my sister & I Learned how to swim here, thanks to Dad who threw us in she 3 without warning. Been coming back ever since. The tourists & noisy transients unfortunately have caught wind of it but being a local institution they don't get away with much bad behaviour down here. Came here on a January Sunday when the mercury was pushing 41 degrees and it didn't disappoint. Pool was a bit rough & tidal, but that adds to the fun. Watch the kiddies in the rough! Lifeguards on duty but they're not babysitters, so remember that's your job to look out for them. Clubhouse snacks are pretty basic but reasonably priced (bring your own picnic if you like, but no. Ooze allowed) & it's a short
Walk to coogee beach proper. Give it a try. You won't regret it. You can even get married down here in their new function centre, featured on Married At First Sight!

Tamarama Beach

Reviewed By sandryan2015 - Port Stephens, Australia

I am a bit biased as I lived across the road from the beach for 21 years! However I never grew tired of the beautiful walk from Bondi to Coogee along the greatest coastline in the world. The beach itself is small with a small cafe and changing facilities . The surf can be treacherous for inexperienced surfers so beware. Parking is a lottery so public transport to either Bondi or Bronte might be a good option with the added benefit of the incredible view as you walk to Tamarama.

Bondi to Coogee Beach Coastal Walk

A cliff top coastal walk, the Bondi to Coogee walk extends for six km in Sydney’s eastern suburbs. The walk features stunning views, Beaches, parks, cliffs, bays and rock pools. The Beaches and parks offer a place to rest, swim or a chance to eat at one of the cafes, hotels, restaurants or takeaways. All Beaches offer picnic shelters, electric barbecues, play areas, kiosks, toilets and change-rooms. The walk is not difficult, there are medium gradient paths and several staircases with occasional Seating. It takes about two hours to complete the Bondi to Coogee Beach section of the walk and another hour and a half if you choose to continue to Maroubra.

You can’t visit Sydney without scheduling a Bondi to Coogee walk. Beautiful coastal walk that will make you forget that you’re in a busy city. It’ll be even better if you can time it around Sculpture by the Sea that takes place around October each year. It’s a well curated event where sculptures are strategically placed to help the visitors appreciate all the view has to offer.

The stalls sold a variety of things like children's clothes, flowers, plants, reflective vests for cyclists, handphone covers, belts, etc. Largely things that I don't need. The area around the market is a little more interesting with an interesting bookshop near the bus stop across the road. The cafes in the area close quite early at 3.30pm. Maybe it's better to go on Saturday morning. But if you have no time you can skip this place.
