Based on the recommendation of our association, we choose Mardigi for both airport shuttles and tours during our Costa Rica stay. Drivers and guides were prompt, vehicles were new and well maintained, and the service desk at Condovac La Costa was very helpful. Reservations were easy to make by email and telephone. Bilingual guides are very professional and extremely knowledgeable. Tours meet and exceed the website descriptions.

We visited Costa Rica in Jan 2018 and stayed at Casa Conde. We did 4 excursions with Tico: the eco river cruise, rincon de vieja hike, the sunset catamaran and a private bird watching tour. The catamaran turned out to be thru another company and wasn't very good. The owner Bernal knows a lot about the various tours, and was very helpful. Marco was the guide for the riverboat and was excellent: very knowlegable, enthusiastic and fun. He has a degree in agriculture and has a vast amount of info on hand. Hansel was the guide for the volcano hike and did such a great job we got him for a private bird watching tour. He probably knows as much about Costa Rican birds as anyone else on the planet! Overall very professional and pleasant people, good drivers and we always felt safe and in good hands at all times

Wonderful tour.guide.
Tour was not what we bought. We bought a zip line tour, but 4 people had a hanging bridge tour, so we had to do the tour they were going on or we would not get to see the butterfly Gardens.
More false advertising on this company's brochure.
The other people were disappointed also. They were to have a private tour with just their family and Sergio throws us in their group.

knowledgeable. The location was close to shore so travel time was minimal and the aquatic life was amazing. Humpback whale, devil rays, stingrays, eels, sea turtles and too many other fish to list.

We wanted a great, affordable Pacific fishing experience and Captain Mauricio and David went out of their way to make this happen. Four great and sizable fish (with plenty of other bites), a huge amount of wildlife to observe from birds to manta rays and turtles by the dozen (even two caught mating!).
We couldn't have asked for a better end to our trip to Costa Rica. I would definitely recommend this Captain, he is very knowledgeable and engaging - just what you want!

We did two trips with these guys back in December 2016. The first one was at Monkey Head island and another spot nearby. The guides did a great job, the boat and equipment were all good. Ultimately the conditions weren't very good so the dives were good, not great, but you can't account for that.
Second day we went for the slightly more expensive trip to one of the little Islands (I forget what it's called, but it's one of the popular ones) that was a little disappointing. Again, all the controllable stuff was excellent, the conditions just weren't good in that area and while we did see things, it was nothing amazing.
THEN divemaster asked - since conditions were bad - if it was okay if we did the dive at a different location then the island we had requested. All of us said yes and learned to ALWAYS trust the locals on this sort of thing. The second dive was AMAZING, I'm afraid I don't remember what it was called, but there were three giant (3.5 foot) sea turtles, octopus, rays, moray eels...basically everything you could want to see (except sharks).
Overall we were very very happy with BA Divers. We will be back at a better time of year for diving and will go back to them first. I think our divemaster's name was Kadir and he was excellent (and I was extremely jealous of his incredible hair).

We booked our afternoon of water excursions through Adrian at the beach house at the Andaz. First, I must say that Adrian is fantastic, friendly, professional and knowledgeable. Danny and Wilbur picked our family of 6 up for an afternoon of tubing, snorkeling, fishing, and water-skiing directly at the resort's beach. They make an amazing team, they packed us food as we requested (my husband is a picky eater), they did whatever we wanted to do. They were so friendly and fun! We spent 4 hours on the water, caught a bunch of red snapper - so exciting for our kids. The guys knew exactly where to go. They were fantastic. Thank you Wilbur and Donny for an amazing afternoon that we will never forget!

I can't say enough about how beautiful and laid back this place is. My 40 something daughters (not teens, can't find a family button!) and I spent several days here on the beach, watching fishermen come and go with their catches, taking a sailboat to go snorkeling, walking the beach to go birding, Reading under the palms and enjoying the local wildlife like the white throated magpie jay, variegated squirrels, black ctenosaur (iguana), green iguana, magnificent frigatebird, spotted sandpiper, whimbrel, great-tailed grackle, streak-backed oriole and so much more! And there are howler mantled monkeys in the trees here!!!!
One of the things I wanted to experience in Costa Rica was the howl of these amazing howler monkeys, loudest in the world, save for the blue whale. They howled at 5:30am and around 5:30pm but only for a short time. I slept through the first morning then made my daughter get me up so I could photograph them.
I don't understand the comment about good Surfing. This is a quiet cove, and I never saw much more than a little swell. I couldn't have picked a better beach to stay at, with beautiful scenery, friendly people and so much wildlife, for us it was a win win!
