"Playa Blanca" means "white beach," and indeed, travelers flock here to swim and sunbathe. Huge yachts bob up and down at the marina, where you'll also find many shops and restaurants and a lively market. TripAdvisor travelers say Montana Roja is not "particularly strenuous" and offers amazing views from the top.

This is a very modern Marina but it is very well laid out and well designed so it has a good deal of charm about it. Pleny and varied dining options, a little more upmarket than most other places in Playa Blanca. it has a nice arts and craft market on Wednesday and Saturday mornings

Montaña Roja was our favourite spot in our trip to Lanzarote. At the feet of our hotel, we climbed twice, both for sunrise and sunset, both worth the climb. It's an easy climb, everybody with a minimal effort can do it and it takes less than 30 minutes if you are a bit fit. You can park the car close to Montaña Baja and then find the trail at the feet of the mountain and start your way up. From up there you have amazing views of Playa Blanca and Fuerteventura just in front of you and also Papagayo Bay with its beautiful beaches. The crater is easily reachable and you can walk around it or go to the middle as well. Awesome for a quiet spot to see the beautiful sunrise or the amazing sunset. Its pretty windy up there, so bring a jacket if you plan to stay a bit longer. Totally worth the climb and the best part is that is for free and Mother Nature really rewards your efforts with tremendous views of the landscapes around the island! If you have an hour to spear, just go and enjoy!

Two man-made water breaks provide for a very calm and sheltered bay which make this beach very suitable for children. So suitable in fact that the resort directly behind the beach is the TUI Family Life Resort. As you can guess the beach is packed with families and children. If you are ok with this then you will have a great time. There are a good range of restaurants and cafes directly behind the beach on the Paseo Maritima which caters for everyones refreshment requirements. The promenade (Paseo Maritima) that backs onto the beach is very uneven and is in dire need of resurfacing. We saw a number of families with buggies having difficulty in manoevering across said surface.

From the Faro de Pechiguera lighthouse in the west to the Castillo de las Coloradas in the east is about 5 miles & takes you from quiet undeveloped areas, past busier bars & hotels, past Playa Flamingo & Playa Dorada, through the stylish Marina Rubicon and then upwards towards the old tower. It is extremely well maintained, clean and wide. There are benches at the best viewing points. It's great to listen to the bashing waves against the rocks and to look out towards Fuerteventura. We walked along all & then parts of the promenade many times - never tiring of the stunning seaviews. So relaxing! Popular in early morning with runners & joggers.

The "Museo Atlantico" (Atlantic Museum) is the first submarine museum in Europe. Placed on Lanzarote's coast, the project is being realized by Jason deCaires Taylor.
Dived the Museum with Rubicon Dive centre , fantastic statues of amazing people across the island.Plenty of marine life and great photo opportunity during the visit.

Excellent promenade at playa blanca, allowing walks to lighthouse at one end and the papagayo beach at the other with the Harbour and marina, plenty of bars and restaurants along the way

This place is amazing. Tricky to get to but worth the effort. Pools are amazing for a swim, loads of life in them. Checking the tides before going and a decent pair of shoes are essential.

Everything focused to make the holidays aswell for your kids an unforgettable experience.
So says my 7 year old! Mum and I were a little worried especially after seeing previous reviews which said the water was freezing. But it all came good! Although it is January and the weather is changeable, the water temperature was absolutely fine. Timan Fire was the favourite attraction for slides. Corsario Bay was exciting because of the big bucket - we won’t spoil the surprise! All in all the attraction is good value and we enjoyed our visit. We would recommend it to anyone. PS - no unfriendly staff either!!!
