"Playa Blanca" means "white beach," and indeed, travelers flock here to swim and sunbathe. Huge yachts bob up and down at the marina, where you'll also find many shops and restaurants and a lively market. TripAdvisor travelers say Montana Roja is not "particularly strenuous" and offers amazing views from the top.

We visited here based on the strengths of trip advisor reviews. First impressions were great with the building and welcome being particularly great.
The food itself was tasty though portion sizes on the reserved side. Prices were higher than I initially expected to pay but I get this was a slightly different experience and so thought the food justified this to an extent.
I was let down by the service in terms of forgetting we had ordered wine, not being able to open the wine, no steak knives when initially being served food etc. The staff worked hard but I just don't think there were enough.

We booked ahead for my birthday dinner, having read the reviews & hoping to enjoy something a little bit more special than the usual seafront establishments. The food was a huge disappointment. I started with "duck bacon" with scrambled egg & asparagus. It was a huge pile of watery egg with 4 miniscule dried slivers of duck. The only flavour came from the thick slabs (not shavings) of parmesan and a rainstorm of balsamic. My main course was fillet steak in pink peppercorn sauce. The steak was good but the sauce was thick, brown and contained about 200 whole peppercorns which I had to scrape off to render the steak edible. As for the accompanying veg - no potatoes just a floury tasteless slab of butternut squash and huge chunks of badly cooked & tasteless carrot, courgette, tomato and a mushroom. My husband was equally disappointed by his beef starter & duck main, agreeing that flavours were sorely lacking. The staff made no attempt to make my birthday evening special - not even a measly complimentary honey rum that even the lowliest eateries provide in Playa Blanca. We had a jolly time thanks to the banter with the lovely couple at the next table but the restaurant did nothing to make it a birthday treat. Don't waste your money.

We stayed in walking distance to this restaurant and during our week’s stay ate here 3 times. We all enjoyed the food very much, the kids loved the pizza. Us adults really loved trying new starters on each visit and going through the various pasta options. So tasty, everything we had. The staff were very friendly and welcoming, made us feel at home.

What a lovely spot. Booked for a Saturday night, enjoyed pre-dinner cocktails before being shown to our table. Live music (pianist and singer) accompanied our evening, I had the most delightful Iberico ham - melt in the mouth - followed by perfectly rare tuna which was delicious. My wife enjoyed her meal also. A must-visit location if you’re near Playa Blanca.

We have been to Faro Park many times but this was our first visit to Port of Call and it will not be our last.Very good food (I had fillet steak with homemade scampi) and very good value.
The white house wine was not as good as the other local restaurants (am I being picky!) Staff were lovely.
Lighting was a bit bright but again this is a personal matter.

I would firstly like to thank Franco and Giselle for the wonderful food and friendship during my two months Winter break.
Franco is such a talented character, unique artist, genuine, and generous man, and Giselle, his wife, a lovely, welcoming, and beautiful woman. Their staff are happy, friendly, very efficient, and unobtrusive.
I had the pleasure of eating there regularly during my stay in Playa Blanca, and enjoyed every single meal.
Their Pizzas are legendary, and I doubt you will find any better the length and breadth of Italy. The pizza dough is superb, and cooked with fresh, first class, fillings in the genuine Italian wood fired oven. The garlic and rosemary roast potatoes are awesome, and also cooked in the wood fired oven.
The fish is fresh, cooked perfectly, and accompanied by great vegetables. The ratatouille is sweet, and with a knockout surprise of a hit of unexpected chilli.
All this comes at a really well targeted price, that you will not find at any of the frontline restaurants.
To sum up; I would not hesitate to recommend Casale Franco to anyone, and would invite people to give them a try.
You will not be disappointed!

Having dined out at various Italian, Indian and other restaurants in Playa Blanca my wife and I , and brother and sister-in-law , booked a table for four at the Flamenca.
On arrival we were met by a delightful server who welcomed us at the door and showed us to our table. The service was excellent, as was the food. Starters were Goats cheese salad and ham,tomato on garlic bread. Then we shared a delicious fish and seafood paella all helped down with a bottle of rose wine. The restaurant was pleasantly decorated and had a relaxed atmosphere.
Will definitely dine there again.

Firstly let me say this place doesn't try to hide what it is, that is a English bar in the sun. I always wonder who actually pays more for Carling but clearly some people think its worth it..
The family(ies) that run it are welcoming, professional and manage to get the right mix of attention and not being a pest. Glasses were very rarely empty but when you'd had enough that was fine.
We all ordered pie - 2 x Steak & Guinness and 1 x Chicken & Mushroom - choice of chips or mash, peas or mushy peas. They looked great and were a good size for a hearty appetite. Just a shame then they were microwaved and what at one time was perfect pastry was delivered limp and soggy.
To be honest for £10ish per person (pie and a pint), it is great value for Playa Blanca that is becoming an expensive place to eat out. It just could have been worth that final point for a nice oven cooked pie. Oh the Estrella on draft is a real positive too..
Give it a go, its not the best place to PB to eat but the overall experience is good.

Me and my partner decided to try lanzarotetakeaway.com for some food last night! I got the spaghetti fruit de mare and partner got spaghetti vonele both were delicious and Delivery was fast and friendly! Would recommend this restaurant.
