6 months back a small team from Rethymno we walked throw the gorge inside the river. The landscape is amazing and the palm trees as you approach the beach make the place tropical.

Clear blue waters!!! Organised beach but laying uden the trees (almirikia) is highly proposed!!! Choose to spend the whole day there (trust me it is worth it)

Nice drive to Imbros Gorge via the stunning Askyfou Plateau. Drop off at the entrance of the gorge after a coffee break in the village Imbros. The hike through this breathtaking gorge takes about 2,5 to 3 hours. Pick up at the bottom of the gorge and a drive to a small beach with tavern, for eating and swimming. Visit Frangokastello with it's castle and back to Plakias.
