Olot (Catalan pronunciation: [uˈɫɔt]) is the capital city of the comarca of Garrotxa, in the Province of Girona, Catalonia, Spain. The city is known for its natural landscape, including four volcanoes scattered around the city center. The municipality is part of the Garrotxa Volcanic Zone Natural Park. Olot is also well known for its cultural activity, with historical art movements like Olot school or imaginary schools, which contributed to the location in the city of the main Design and Arts & Crafts school of the province of Girona, the Escola d'Art i Superior de Disseny d'Olot.

Nuce easy walk at the forest/ we took the short course which took us around 40 min. the signs coukd be better byr we mannaged.

The quality of the yoghurts is famed throughout Catalonia. I am a big yoghurt and dairy products fan. I have had much better and for much better prices. In the North of Europe some of the standard quality outweighs the quality of this brand. It does good in marketing as you will see it everywhere in the North of Catalonia. The tastes of fruits seem very artificial. I know that my view completely goes against the majority of the people but I have tasted much better.

La Vall d'en Bas, en la Garrotxa es un espacio natural rico y bello en cualquier epoca del ano de visita imprescindible. Y que mejor forma de descubrirlo que a lomos de un animal muy especial, el caballo. En este entorno idilico un guia de eQuaid os llevara a recorrer senderos con caballos muy entrenados y acostumbrados a los paseos relajados que os transmitiran seguridad.

Mi pareja este año para mi regalo de cumpleaños se le ocurrió la idea de hacer una ruta en caballo y escogió este magnífico sitio. Habían varias opciones a escoger y escogimos una ruta de tres horas que merecen muchísimo la pena ya que la experiencia a sido buenísima, la ruta con esos paisajes una maravilla y a mi pareja y a mí nos acompañaba el Juli, el propietario de la hípica junto con su mujer y sus hijas, personas que han echo que nuestra experiencia sea aún mejor ya que son grandes personas muy atentos en todo ya que les apasiona lo que hacen. Al acabar la ruta nos esperaba una gran comida que en esta ocasión a sido carne a la brasa, " decir que a Juli no solo se le dan bien los caballos, cocina aún mejor jejeje" el caso es que hemos comido súper bien y mientras se preparaba la comida nos ah sacado un aperitivo de embutidos y pica pica con la bebida que hemos querido todo buenísimo. También destacar que trabajan con un producto que está resultando ser una maravilla en lo que para la salud se refiere, ese producto es la leche de yegua que ellos mismos extraen de sus yeguas y se puede comprar en unas cajas que contienen unas dosis pequeñas para tomar a diario o como cada persona crea necesario para uno mismo, dosis necesaria para que la salud mejore notoriamente y muchos casos así lo confirman con seguridad. También venden queso de leche de yegua que está buenísimo y cosméticos que también contienen esa leche. Y nada para acabar decir que lo recomiendo al 100% y que sin dudar volveremos a repetir en breve

Castellfollit de la Roca (Castellfollit of the Rock) is a picturesque village in Spain dating back to the Middle Ages. It is situated on a basalt crag bordered by the confluence of the rivers Fluvià and Toronell. The crag is over 50 metres high and almost a kilometre long. Like most medieval towns, Castellfollit de la Roca is made up of quaint squares, narrow streets, and shady corners. Many of the houses in the old part of town are made from volcanic rock. Today, little more than 1,000 people inhabit the village. One of the village's most noteworthy locations is Castellfollit de la Roca Sant Salvador Church which dates back to the 13th century. And, believe it or not, it also has a sausage museum (Museu de l’Embotit) and a museum dedicated to the Vietnamese War (Museu de Vietnam). Despite of having travelled by segway in many place, I'd never seen no one driving like him, everything was under control. He showed us how to ride it properly, leading us to hidden treasures around Santa Pau. We enjoyed ourselves so much and we'd like to visit more places with this funny guy, but it was too close to sunset. This opinion is written in English because we're not allowed to write in Catalan.

Nice walk up the side of the volcano to look at the dormant crater where there is a small old church built. We decided as 4 adults and one 8 year old child to descend down into the crater through the trees where there was no footpath. It was exciting but slightly dangerous. Great trip overall for family activity

En el pueblo de Sant Joan les Fonts se encuentra este pequeño castillo, al lado del rió. Una agradable visita y cómoda ja que dispone de un ascensor para acceder a todas las plantas. También se puede visitar el monasterio, del que solo queda la iglesia. Un puente de la misma época y una cascada. Se pueden hacer rutas para visitar las diferentes fuentes y los ríos de lava

It is a nice finsih of one of the walks through the national park and can be taken on the way back to home.
Best is to park Close to the cementary. There is a large car park wich you will come to when you follow the signs to the vulcano and cementary. But this one is always full. There is another one not far away where the newly build path starts. It is on the opposite side of the cementary (Camin Montscarcopa).
The view to the vulcanos is good, but view over the town is not offering a lot.
