10 Things to do in Moffat That You Shouldn't Miss

Located in and around the rivers and hills of Dumfries and Galloway in beautiful Moffat. You’ll see me pictured with our “business plan on a stick” which is all currently in the works. For now, you can stay in our Shepherds Hut, buy a scrumptious wood fired pizza, book onto a kayaking course, hire a mountain bike, take a guided hike in the hills around Moffat and enjoy a good coffee at base.

17 Reasons is a gift shop located on Well Street, Moffat, co owned by three like minded women, Lydia, Linnhe and Alexis. We work hard to curate high quality art and craft sourced in Scotland and around the UK. Our prime aim is to showcase the creative talent of the country's designers and makers, many of our artisans work with us on a commission basis. We know the people behind the products and are happy to count many of them as our friends. The Annandale Way is a 56 mile (90km) long distance walking route starting in the hills above Moffat and following the River Annan down to the Solway Estuary at Annan. It was originally developed by Sulwath Connections and local communities in 2009 with the support of local estates and farmers to help promote Annandale as a new area for walking.

Family friendly stop, with caravan site, café, fishery and seasonal garden centre. Everything is made freshly to order wherever possible, and is filled with home baking goodies. Small animals to visit and free play park make it a suitable destination for any traveller. Wheelchair friendly with all areas on the one level and and food intolerances catered for as best we can. Table bookings can be taken to make your visit extra special and help give staff an advanced warning of any large parties or special occasions, helping make your visit even more unique. Caravan site small but perfectly situated not far from the town centre so easily access for evening walks and for popping to the pub or for a meal. Booking is essential for guaranteed electric spaces. We have small accommodation pods now for hire, between the months of April and October. These can be booked through us or Airbnb. Linen is included with these cabins so it makes ideal stop of points if your walking or cycling.
