This dive shop is excellently managed and the crew are awesome!
First of all, my pre-trip enquiries sent on Facebook messenger was replied promptly with clear details.
The staff and crew were all professional, friendly, and spoke good English. They are well trained and very efficient. Everyone knew exactly what gear is for which diver without having to ask at all, throughout.
The gears, equipment and facilities were all very well maintained.
I was also really impressed by the big dive boat that they have- it was spacious, comfortable and in great condition.
Price per dive range from 35-30 USD depending on how many dives you do. Nitrox is also available at no additional cost.
I can only HIGHLY RECOMMEND this dive shop.
Unfortunately I didn’t visit during the manta season, which starts from August.
Nevertheless I saw Eagle Rays and many grey reef sharks at another dive site.
I only had time to dive with Maafushi Dive for 2 days this time. Hope to be back next time.

Snorkeling is a must when visiting Maldives. Though the weather is unpredictable in August, no one should miss this, whether one knows how to swim or not. Lunch was at the Sand Banks, a very interesting experience. The clear blue waters, sea breeze and friendly staff make this an unforgettable experience.

The whole team of Active Water Sports are extremely professional and helpful. They would not suggest you any activity without fully understanding your capability and explaining all safety and risks involved. The guests of Kaani hotels also get a special discount here. We spoke to Shah and Bob while on the island and came back only with good memories. Both are highly trained and extremely experienced. I would recommend this place highly for all water sports on Maafushi.

The dive team at Maafushi Scuba (formerly Shark Diving School) are excellent instructors who taught me to be a really good scuba diver! Always cheerful, patient and helpful each person shows loving kindness to everyone they meet. The crew is fun, funny and very competent and I felt well cared for during the three weeks I dove with them. I highly recommend Maafushi Scuba!

We had such a fantastic experience diving with Arena. Everything about this company was top class. From Roberto to all the staff, they could not be more helpful. Very professional and delivered the wow factor. I had seen some dive sites before I left the UK and was keen to go and see them myself.... They did not disappoint.
This is a must for shark lovers like myself. We went to Kandooma Thila and we just kept going back there for our first dive of each day. Many many sharks, eagle Ray's, napoleons and so much more. All the other dive sites were also very interesting and we seen so much. We were lucky enough to see 24 Mobular Rays on one dive which was amazing.
We could go on and on about the experience, but you must just go and do it. I wouldn't look anywhere else than Arena Dive as we were recommended by a friend who had dived a month earlier with them, who had also received the top quality service we got and also seen so many wonderful things under the water. So much to see and enjoy time after time.
Whilst the staff were very professional, they also did everything they could to deliver the very best diving experience and social experience after diving. Great company on an evening as well as below the water.
We did 11 dives and every one was a treat.
Thank you all for giving us such a great experience and making us so welcome. We will 100% be back to dive with you again.

Maafushi Island has three Beaches and Bikini beach is one of them. As the name suggest, ladies/girls can wear bikinis to go swimming. This is a beach for everyone. Beach is maintained by the Locals and if you are staying in one of the hotels near it you get a free sunbed and towel, if not you can rent one for 5 USD and get a free wifi. There are restaurants, Water Sports and tours being offerred in the area. The beach area has a a stunning view of the sunset. The beachsand is classic Maldivian powdery white. Everyone can enjoy the beach.

This is no doubt the biggest and most presentable souvenir shop in the whole Island of Maafushi. The shop does have a great variety of souvenir available, ranging from fridge magnets, ocean shells and reefs, candle stands, mugs, etc. etc. The prices are on the above average price but you can always try to ask for a small discount. The staff speaks very good English and very friendly too.
