Fantastic legacy of and insight into Kosovan history. It’s tucked up off the beaten track a little but well worth the trek to it, plus some good stop offs en-route. Absolutely superb guide/curator who was informative, engaging and entertaining just the best should be! Highly recommend this, it’s also free and close to the excellent bazaar/market area.

This Fort was recently restored by the American government and is an incredible venue to appreciate Prizren as well as to appreciate the history of this town and the fort built here to guard its approaches. There is also a beautiful Amphitheater inside that must be a great venue for Concerts. We were there at sunset which seems to be an ideal time as we saw the sun setting and then the lights of the city coming on. The ascent is a little steep and you need to watch your step but the climb is so worth it. Make sure that you go to the back and look over the wall to see the mountain pass that it is guarding.

Our Hotel Nartel recommended calling a taxi(6 Euro) to be dropped off at the monastery entrance.
Arriving at 9 AM, the walled complex was open and free to enter. At the church, a man speaking English asked us not to take pictures and be careful of the work being done in the central area. Amazed at the centuries old religious artwork, we passed several worshipers maneuvering around the pillars of the side apses. We finished circumnavigating the grassed complex, noting the black clad nuns from the large convent in the back.
Departing, we strolled the pleasant village, stopping in a street market to sample local wine and honey. After a circuit to see the rural homes and their small plot Gardens, we walked to the town center and took the bus(1 Euro) back to the Pristina Station.

Located in Mirusha Park, in central Kosovo. The Waterfalls are one of the most visited attractions of the area and people often swim there. The waterfall's caves are also popular with visitors. The highest waterfall is 22 meters. Parking is about 1 Euro and there are a couple of shops to have coffee and purchase sodas.

From the entrance, guarded by NATO troops, this place is special. Once on the monastery grounds you'll see the beautiful and very well preserved church made with local stones. However, the inside will leave you speechless. It's a magnificent orthodox church adorned in the traditional style with frescoes. We were allowed to enter as the service was ending and the choir was still performing. Even without being religious you could feel something special. On top of the beauty, the monks were incredibly accessible and along with a student, explained almost every single fresco and every part of the symbols and elements so important in an Orthodox church.
I cannot say enough how amazing this place is. I'm glad it's well protected and I hope it continues to be. It must be preserved. Kosovars are lucky to have such a magical site in their country. For me this is the must see attraction in Kosovo.

We visited Germia park and went to the outdoor pool. The pool itself is big, but only has basic facilities. The stunning location makes it worth a visit. Nice to escape the crazy traffic and pollution of the city for some fresh air.

It was a brief visit. The interior is very similar to those I visited in Turkey. Im very impressed with the interior. Its located in the old city centre. I really enjoyed the visit.

My guide gezim also called jim is an amazing guy. Definitely would recommend doing a via feratta with him. I couldnt have imagined a better guide for my first via feratta. Not just could he respond all my question regarding climbing but also did he build up a personal relationship in being interested in my life. We shared some life experiences and stories and had just a fun time. After all we were hanging out a little bit at the river and he offered me to sleep at his house or to drive me anywhere which was really great of him. In the end he organized me a hitchhike to a village 25km far away. This is just a little story of how helpful and gentle he is. Really nice is that he really loves doing what be does. So dont wait and come to this amazing region and do some climbing in peja region which is a pretty amazing and beautiful place.

The thought for this site may be more ambitious that currently in place. You pull off the road in a parking area, but most of the site is still undergoing reconstruction and active archaeological research. Oddly, at the very end of the trail someone came out of a building and handed us really nice, informative and English pamphlets. Nice Roman city but will probably be much better to see as they continue to improve the infrastructure.
