We weren"t quite sure beforehand whether we should take the detour through Suncheon while travelling from Seoul to Busan, but were so glad we did it. The park is beautiful and well maintained. We went for sunset and enjoyed great views. Not sure what it's like on weekends, but we went on a thursday and it was not crowded at all. Great place for photography too.

A beautiful glimpse into nature, a beautiful garden with traditional Korean houses, a calm and relaxing place, its own and pastoral, a perfect getaway from the bustling city.

Damyang has long been famed for its bamboo which it celebrates every year at this major festival. The versatility of the local bamboo is on full display here whether used to make furniture and household items or its shoots used in cooking. The city also prides itself as an eco-city which is evident in the many tranquil and beautiful bamboo forests around which visitors can walk through.

Parking your car at the entrance will cost you only 1000 won. Then a walk to the top gives various route options. The climb is reasonably easy and the time is less than an hour. The view from one sides shows the Mokpo Bridge which will give a great view if you stay till sunset.Plus a great view of the city light up at night.

It was a long taxi ride away from the city center (Suncheon Station), especially as the roads were frozen. However, the view was worth the ride! It was a very quaint and quiet little village, perhaps we reached too early (we reached at about 9:30am!), perhaps the weather was too cold, there were hardly anyone around. Shops were closed and there were no performances, but it was so lovely to be walking around the place. It gives off a completely different vibe from the bustling streets of the city. I absolutely loved the place!

We took a bus trip from Gwangju bus terminal. The place was very clean and green. There are lots of photo opportunities. You cab hike up the hill and get a lovely view of the area, but it's not a difficult walk. There's a shop at the entrance with lots of variety of green tea, souvenirs. There's also a lovely macha icecream to try.

This is a garden park in Suncheon Bay. Must-visit course in Suncheon Travel. I highly recommend. - Locating upper area of Suncheon Bay, it's about 15~20 min by bus from Suncheon Station. - At the ticket office, 2-day pass for 6 attractions of Suncheon is available. Or buy ticket for Suncheon Bay Garden. Seniors with 65+ are free. - There are amazing cone-shaped hills, tile bridge, parades, global gardens, flamingo pond, bicycle boats, Metasequoia Road, etc. - With a massive area, spending at least 3 hours is recommend. - Near the west gate, there's Eco Trans Station for Sky Cube connecting to Suncheon Bay Wetland Reserve. - Suncheon Local Foods Direct Market is locating in southeast area. It's a fine place to purchase fresh local products.

offers nice view and walking trail. I would recommend a trolley ride for $1 to minimize the walk. Easier for rest of trip
