Old Ito Denemon House

Reviewed By kimitakas - Taichung, Taiwan

It is an old house of Ito Denemon, who made a big fortune by running canon mines. Due to its location, it is not as touristic as Mojiko Retro, but it is absolutely worth visiting even spending one day for its excursion. I cannot understand the architecture well, but the mixture of Japanese and Western styles is very impressive. The garden is also pleasant. It is not an old temple in Kyoto, but you can discover another kind of Japanese beauty.

They include a 400m "waterfall" and massive special fireworks considered to be the largest in the western Japan area. Finally, there are creative interpretations like fireworks simulating a motorcycle racing down a track -- inspired by the nearby racetrack.
