I have never seen such a stunning scenery. A white lighthouse on a hgh cliff.
I did not have time so coud not go to the lighthouse but may be interesting if you do not mind one hour walking (or climbing rather). Highly recommendable.
It takes one hour by car from Fukue port. The nearest bus stop is one hour walking away and number of buses is limited so you need to ride on a sightseeing bus or have a rental car.

Powerful and moving building in Gothic Style. Expanded in renovations, but still alive as a church from the 1800's. Hidden Christians worshipped "illegally in the region". Martyrs and sacrifices made here are inspiration to us all. Best wishes and continued prayers for the Church in Japan!

The Island having many churches, beautifull Beaches and Ohsezaki Lighthouse is highly recommendable.
Local public transportation is almost none or inconvenient so you need to have a rental car or ride on a sightseeing bus. I reserved that operated by Goto Bus Company(minimum 2 persons are needed) and luckily was in a taxi instead due to only 3 customers including myself. The taxi driver Mr. Kawakami was very kind and took his time to show us around. In one day and by paying USD46, I could see almost all the famous spots there.
Souvenirs I bought : Goto noodle, Goto spirits(both Taro and Wheat), Kankoromochi(traditional taro cake) and Chankoko(sweets).

Very very clean and beautifull Emerald green ocean! I asked a taxi driver about situation in Summer and if there would be many conservation stands etc but he said '' no such stands as not profitable for very limited number of visitors.'' It would be very relaxing if we share the beach with such a small number of people.(The sea is very shallow, he said)

This church became popular as a filming location of a film called '' Kuchibiruni Uta O''. When we visited, there were only four of us including a taxi driver
( In the film, there were only two). Very quiet and nice to visit but as other churches in Fukue, you have to have a car as access is not good at all.

A good place for a bit of exercise in the Sun. A good place to fly a Kite as the sea s very lasting. Good hoes are recommended along with a luncheon pale

This was another historic church on our Church Pilgrimage. Hidden Christians lived and survived nearby. Their stories of earnest devotion and answered prayers for protection through seven plus generations of Persecution. Guided tour helpful as most of the Churches are not staffed. Prayers for continued grace! Enjoy!
