We booked a bespoke tour for just the two of us, which took us on a cruise, then snorkelling, then for 'mezes' on a private beach-to-ourselves be fore returning back as night fell. It was easy to sort out and book by email, and Fabio gave us all the information we needed before the trip.

We cruised for half an hour or so until we arrived at the snorkelling sport where we found a few fish, sea anenomes, starfish and best of all, an octopus. Fabio told us lots about the octopus - they really are amazing creatures. By the time our snorkelling was finished Fabio's assistant had laid out our wonderful table full of mezes on the beach. There were pasta salads, feta and olives, beans, chick peas, caramelised onions, bread, lemon cake, melon, water and above all two bottles of a very good Italian red wine. We almost finished it all, including the wine, and it was wonderful to be alone on the beach eating a delicious banquet as the sun set.

We head back into Fiskardo and arrived just as it got dark. A wonderful night out.

Assos

The location is stunning. It is sited on a bay enclosed by a peninsular topped by an old venetian castle. There is a small stoney beach and a number of tavernas. The road down to the village is a huge drop down from the main road along hairpin bends but it is OK to drive on. We have stayed in Assos. It is fine but a little isolated by the road to it. This year we visited for a day trip, probably better. We have only been in October when things are quiet (or shut). I expect it would be crowded in the summer.

My wife and I went on an introduction dive and then cancelled future holiday plans to include a double 'adventure dive experience' later in the week - felt safe throughout and thoroughly enjoyed all three dives! Thanks Cedric, Tiega and Dan !

Emblisi Beach

Reviewed By Gritstone - Derbyshire, United Kingdom

This place is great - and very accessible. Parking is yards from the beach and the cafe/shack (open through summer) sells food and drink. It rents loungers for the amazing price of 3 Euros a day which are well worth using. The seabed is fairly shelving and the swimming and snorkelling is great too. Definitely with a visit - and walkable from Fiscardo (ask a local for the coast path to avoid the roads)

We hired Reginas boats twice during our holiday. The boats are reliable and easy to use. A complimentary cooler box with cold juice and water was much appreciated. Regina is very friendly and accommodating. We booked a boat via email months before our arrival but due to an error she never received our booking. On our day scheduled for boating, all her boats were already booked out but Regina made a plan and we got a boat for the day. The second outing we did not bother to check other boat hire companies as we liked Regina so much. We will use Reginas boat hire every time we visit Fiskardo. Value for money and a very nice way to explore the beautiful little bays surrounding Fiskardo.

Dafnoudi Beach

We arrived at the spot without knowing we had to take a long path down the beach.
It was a 15min walk but it was totally worth it. A path inside the forest, full of trees covering us in their shadow.
At the end of the path we came across a small beach covered in pubbles. Rocks on one side of the beach and trees all over make a picturesque scenery.
Recommending it for couples and adult groups. Not really the place for families since this is a small quiet beach.

Fiscardo Harbor

This was a great place to visit, wander, get something to eat and shop. A lovely little harbour, very picturesque. We had our lunch at the Melina Pattiserie which was very good. Parking was a wee bit of a problem, you cannot park down by the harbour but have to park at the top of the hill, my wife has arthritis in here knees so this was a little awkward although the police kindly permitted me to drop her off and then go back up the hill to park. for us one of the best places in kephalonia!

Venetian Lighthouse of Fiscardo

Reviewed By harleyg98 - Macclesfield, United Kingdom

I hobble around aided by a walking stick – so unpaved tracks can be problematic.
However, rising to the challenge of reaching the lighthouse wasn't too onerous – and was well worth the effort.
It's a real shame about the graffiti and the derelict surroundings – but I guess the Greeks have more on their mind at present with their economy to be worried about such minor issues.
The lighthouse is in remarkable condition externally, my 'gammy' leg precluded a climb to the top – but I'm sure would be well worth the effort.
And, it was heavenly to get away from the crowds in Fiscardo for an hour.

Wonderful day in two kayaks out of fiskardo. Alex had excellent knowledge on best spots to visit and sea conditions. Stunning route along limestone outcrops, past ancient lighthouse, beautiful Beaches and a cave we could paddle into. Very professional company and good price - would highly recommend.
