Our boys love to go to the trampoline park and wear off some energy. They especially like the dodgeball. My husband and I got out there, too, and it was good fun exercise, but it reminded me that I'm not a kid any more!

Hammerheart Brewery

Only stopped by for a short visit. The specialize in smoked and casked beers. The rotational handle was a smoked IPA today that I thought was very interesting. Clear smoke flavor leads, hoppy finish.

Atmosphere is fine. Seems like it would be better suited to a mid-winter night than the beautiful day it was this afternoon. Cool Nordic themes which I like. Friendly sever.

Very nice walking trails just a couple miles or so wonderful for getting close to nature. Even have bridges on the water (floating) you can walk over.

Shoreview Community Center

Reviewed By fourknees - Oregon

Visiting family who recommended this place to have the kids burn energy off regardless of weather.

This place is very nice. I'm jealous. Makes our home community center look like a "JV" facility. This one is varsity level as far as young kids are concerned. Kiddie pool area with small slide, Lilly pads with cargo net above to hold on to, big pool no deeper than 4'6" with volleyball area, basketball hoop and three giant floating sea creatures. Hot tub (age 18+ only) and a long water slide where you can choose a song to listen too on the way down complete with coordinated flashing lights.

We also visited the indoor play area, kids 1-12. (Remember socks!). Kinda of like a place place at a fast food place, but 5-6 times larger.

For our non-resident day pass a family of 4 was $36.

Blue Sun Soda Shop

Reviewed By Lisa T - New Brighton, Minnesota

This place is amazing! The sodas are arranged by flavor. They have limited edition Virgil's root beer, old fashioned candy, and a new large selection of Milka from Germany. While you wait for your soda to chill by the cash register you can play pinball and look over a half wall to the 1952 bottling machine as they bottle Whistler soda on site (49 flavors as I last heard). Then you can eat free popcorn with your soda. They have staff pick soda's near the front of the store if you need help narrowing your selection.

The nature center has a nice garden and play area for children. In the summer they have fun summer camps for kids and during the school year they offer a nature centered preschool. They also offer many classes and some free activities thru out the year. My kids have participated in many classes, camps and my youngest went to the preschool. It's a great place for children to learn about nature. It's also has some nice trails to take a walk.

Goony Golf of Spring Lake Park

Reviewed By crzymallard - Saint Paul, Minnesota

This is the second time I have brought my 7 year old daughter to this mini golf location. It is a little run down, but she always has a blast. There are three 18 hole courses, two of the courses have cheesy/fun characters hanging out and the third course is a little more challenging, which my daughter had fun trying out. At the end of two of the courses you can try and "ring the bell" for a free round of golf. The staff was helpful and made sure we started in the right location. I think this is a great way to get your kid off the couch and out of the house on the weekends, we will be back again to try and win that free round of golf!

This campground is a jewel. It has easy access, level sites that are huge, quiet, grass, firepits, tables and within walking distance of lakes with beach and many types of birds to appreciate. Electric and water at most sites with two large areas for tents only. Bugs are minimal.
