Hangar 25 Museum was a wonderful place to visit. Amber was very professional and informative about the one-time air base and the city of Big Spring. It was a great place to return to for my husband to reminisce about his childhood on the base.

Historic Spring Site

Reviewed By TrueTexasTraveler - Amarillo, United States

Located in Comanche Trail Park, important environmental work has restored the flow of the spring, though it's nothing like it once was. The city has done a wonderful job building a trail down to an overlook area of the big spring. Along the way are fantastic historical markers that talk about all facets of the history of the area. There are also official state historical markers located at the site. If you're traveling through Big Spring this is a must-see!

Big Spring State Park

Big Spring State Park is an incredible place to visit for anyone who enjoys differing terrains and incredible outdoor scenery. Located on a 200-foot high bluff overlooking Big Spring the views are simply incredible. The loop around the park was built by the Civilian Conservation Corps and you can see markings on the rocks from them and others who have traversed this terrain in the past. The day-use park has no entrance fee, and the hiking trails allow you to stay up top on the bluff or hike down it and enjoy the varying environment long it's the edge. This historic Texas state park is not to be missed!
