They are very good donuts. Which means they must be really bad for you. Which means they are really good. Just spend the rest of the day on the treadmill and it's all good.

Settles Grill

Reviewed By d s - Denver, co

We visited here because a friend recommended the hotel as historic, which it is. The lunch menu was limited due to our gluten-free restrictions, but it was good, although a little pricey and smaller portions than we expected. The chicken fried steak was two pieces about the size of a woman's palm, unlike other places where it hangs over the side of the plate. The grilled salmon was about the size of a woman's palm, perhaps 3 ounces?

Lumbre Bar and Grill

Once in awhile you just kind of fall into something really good. Traveling thru Big Spring and the name stuck out to me since our favorite green Chile is lumbre - XXX hot. Beautiful little restaurant and food was exquisite and service to match. I had the Cajun pasta and oh man was it good. Plenty of shrimp, chicken, and some sausage. Very tasty. Wife had the posole, It was way different than either of us had ever had - not the heavy red Chile type but a very light broth with green Chile and posole corn. We always have posole at Christmas but this year we are going to try and match this recipe. Very worth our time and yours too.

As we were returning to San Antonio it was about lunchtime and we stopped at Dell's café. The food was very tasty and reasonably priced. All the locals seem to eat here. The waitress was friendly, knowledgeable about the menu and her clientele.everything was homemade including the strawberry cake. We will be returning.

Late lunch on a Wednesday. Not busy at all but it was difficult for the waitresses to check on their patrons as they were busy doing other things. Salad bar was meh... steak was the best part of the meal. Black angus sirloin. Not bad

Joe's Italian Bistro

Reviewed By Ed D - Wichita Falls, Texas

After reading some of the previous reviews, I had hoped to give this place five stars. Sorry, not even close. The service was terrible, the place smelled of cigarette smoke, and the food was mediocre at best. I had the fettuccine alfredo, and I've had that dish out of a can and it's tasted better! In addition, they do not take American Express, which is the only card I use on business travel. So I will not be returning.

Very easy to locate there in Big Spring, and a nice clean little restaurant with friendly people, but the food was ok. Maybe it was because I was just not feeling well, maybe I was just expecting something more... It's just a good sized café. It has a variety of food from burgers to Mexican food, so there's something for everyone. I got the chicken fried steak - how can you go wrong with that? It was bathed in gravy, and just slightly chewy. Just standard frozen, then fried plate of food.

Wagon Wheel Drive in

We eat here regularly when wanting local fast food. Everything I have eaten has been good. The cheeseburgers come with fries and are freshly made. They often have a lunch special which includes a drink. When the special is steak sandwich, I have really enjoyed it but I don't order it other times because of time it takes for order to be prepared. This is a drive in. No seating available.. Carhops take your order and deliver food to your car.

Big Spring has some amazing West Texas Mexican Food. It is always a great place to eat on the road. Carlos Restaurant has re molded the inside and it looks amazing. The food is outstanding. Caution: you may need a nap afterwards. Lol.

I had the smothered burrito in green sauce. I love the way they still use metal plates and the cheese gets crispy on edges. Exceptionally, cheap for those of us traveling from big cities. Easily $5-$10 per plate on prices
