This is one of the best, if not the best, places for enjoying colours of maple leaves in late Autumn.
We visited the park in early Ocotober right after China's October long holidays. There were much fewer people and you can really enjoy the scenery and take great pictures at ease. Here one can find maple leaves to as many as "eleven points". Colour scheme of leaves ranges from red, orange, yellow and green literally can be found on one tree!
There are five scenic spots in the park. We enjoyed the Five Colour Lake the best, especially in early morning when there was no wind and the reflection can be clear seen on the water surface. If you are a hiker, take a hike up the Little Yellow Hill where you can have a better of the lake below.

Benxi Water Cave is a huge cave system located at the Taizi River. It is part of the Benxi Water Cave National Park.

Took us about an 1.5~2 hours each way to get there. The train takes about an hour and then you're greeted by hoards of militant taxi drivers. Take bus 16 to the local bus station and get a ticket for the water caves.
Caves are pretty interesting but most likely damaged over the years. Lots of moss growing on the stalactites so I would imagine they wont be around for too long.

去年，10月去的关门山，枫叶虽美红透，但景色宜人，不像泰山十一的时候熙熙嚷嚷，不像峨眉有那扰人的猴子与商贩。这里更多了一些与自然融在一起的惬意，人不是很多，10月的天气，气候也不错，沿着小路往前走，踏着些许的枫叶，不远处有着缠绵的小溪水。唯一感觉不足的就是厕所很简陋。太原始了，呵呵。。。。。如果是十一这样的大节日，我觉得去这样的地方更能让自己放松。

I found this park to be very well laid out and scrupulously clean. I had probably walked three miles around Benxi this day so was glad to find a place with soft green grass to just sit back and relax.

汤沟国家森林公园坐落于辽东本溪县东南部著名的汤沟风景名胜区境内，距沈阳130公里，距本溪水洞35公里。公园面积2167公顷，森林覆盖率95%，绿石谷是三大景区之一。这里是绿色的海洋，天然氧吧。绿石成为该景点一大特色。2014年7月12日，星期六，吃过早饭，驾着我的爱车小猎豹上了沈丹高速到本溪，经本溪——小市——关门山来到汤沟国家森林公园绿石谷风景区。
绿石谷门票40元，进车费10元，往里开200米就是停车场。我脱下凉鞋，换上新买的运动鞋，揣了一瓶矿泉水进入绿石谷。谷里的石头特别滑，刚进谷口，就给我来个下马威，我不忍心踩在植被完好的石头上，想选块光滑的石头落脚拍照，结果一下子就滑倒在没膝深的水里，为了保护好相机，我敏捷地来个鲤鱼翻身，相机虽完好无损，可我下半身全湿了，一直湿到腰，内裤也透了，好难受。拿着相机的右臂鹰突关节处划破一道口子，鲜血缓缓渗出来，鞋里的水顺着透气孔流出去，残留的水存在鞋壳里，顾不了这些了，见到美景就什么都忘了。

Due to the humidity and the strong heatwaves during the time of the visit, the monkey exhibition section really stank(( It was filthy but I was there very briefly to take a shot of the monkeys in the cages. Next, you can find small pandas as well as giraffes near the monkeys.
