Tanjung Tinggi Beach

Since not so many tourists here yet, so the cost of island hopping and water activity is per boat (per boat was Rp600,000). This price did not include rental for safety jacket, snorkel set (Rp20,000), visiting 5 Islands and 1 snorkel point. The trip was so so, nothing much special.

Lengkuas Beach

Lengkuas Island located in the waters of the Belitung Island, and is about 30 minutes away by boat from Tanjung Kelayang beach or Tanjung Binga in District Sijuk, Belitung. In Lengkuas Island there is Lighthouse, built by Dutch colonial in 1882 and still actively working for marine navigation. Visitors must wash feet with fresh water before entering the lighthouse buildings constructed of steel, because the sea water can cause rust on the building. From the lighthouse, you can see beauty of the white sandy Beaches on the island with giant granite rocks and clear sea water greenish.

Nice and short boat trip to go there, quite a hike to go up the lighthouse, wonderful view on the nearby Islands, clear water. Safe to swim in some parts, a bit rocky on others. Unfortunately there are hundreds of rubbish left on the island by tourists.

As an island, Belitong have so many Beaches. And this one of their favorite beach in island. They offer you to do some activities here. And me and my colleagues will be snorkeling from this beach.
You will wear a safety vest or not if you usually snorkeling or a pro maybe. They took you to the the sea by boat, and you can see a beautiful fish. Like you swim in gigantic aquarium. I love spent my times on this beach.

Museum Kata Andrea Hirata

Reviewed By Christy G - Jakarta, Indonesia

My first opinion when looking at the front door was, "Is it just like this?" Truly a disappointment in my part. Anyway, I still go. Half heartedly.
It doesn't stay long though. Everything change when I got into the house itself, looking at Laskar Pelangi's (The Rainbow Troops) posters, quotes written in colourful painting on the floor and on the wall, pictures of famous authors and what get me the most was the interior. The antiques they used and the rough artistic approach of the design itself.
I go through all the places which turns out to be bigger than it looks like from the outside. They have a Reading room, places to perform your works, in shorts, it is a place where you can find that creative side of yours. It is colourful and educative.
Truly, a place that YOU should visit while in Belitung.
