Cathedrale Sainte-Cecile

Reviewed By soloflyer2018 - Brisbane, Australia

The magnificent brick building with its amazing Gothic entrance is very hard to describe because it is so huge and apparently the largest brick Cathedral in that part of the world. But... when you enter inside that is when your breath is taken away...it is beautiful. Although it is a French Cathedral the Art is Italian and it is spectacular. I actually visited more than once because I could not absorb everything. The history, the color, the Art ,amazing and a definite "must see" in Albi.

Musee de la Mode

Reviewed By Chilternette - Henley-on-Thames, United Kingdom

I was very impressed by this small museum. This year’s theme is embroidery and there are pieces from evening gowns and uniforms to buttons, hats, waistcoats and shoes. The clothes are in superb condition and well displayed and lit. I took two teenagers who go round most museums at a run, but they were captivated and said they’d come away with inspiration for their own projects. The shop next door is a delight and sensibly priced for vintage items. I do hope the museum can expand one day - it’s good, and more would be even better.

Les Jardins de la Berbie

Reviewed By 4KiaraS - Chester, United Kingdom

Kudos to the gardeners who design and maintain this garden. It’s truly spectacular. I appreciate the effort it takes to create something beautiful like this. You can walk around and enjoy the views (I don’t think you can wander on ground level though, there was someone raking the pebbles when we went). There are gorgeous views of the bridges over the river and the beauty all around. Lots of great photo ops.

Palais de la Berbie

Reviewed By jacquesward - Riols, France

While the Palace, that houses a very comprehensive Henry Toulouse-Lautrec collection might have been the draw card for our visit, it's complimented by the Cathedral of St. Cecilia. The Palace and it's garden amidst the beauty of Albi, makes for a very very special attraction. The Palace also houses works of other major painters which further adds to the appeal here. Much recommended, travel an hour for it, travel two hours or more, it's well worth it.
