Aikawa Park

The prefectural Aikawa Park is a park spreading out into a river terrace right under the Miyagase dam form. On the very large site of 51 hectares, there are "the slope of the flower" where a colorful azalea is in full glory in one side in spring or "Kazeno-oka Hill" of the view preeminence to be able to expect to Landes, Yokohama mark on the day when the atmosphere is clear, and scenery impressive seasonally waits for! In addition, "a forest and "fluff Dome of the adventure" with the large playground equipment which can play around all day," I hear the cheers of children throughout the year "slop-slop more from ponds" in a season of the water. Furthermore, it is used as a base of the visit of the dynamic sightseeing discharge of the Miyagase dam from April to November, and road train "Ai" of the popularity runs to children to the dam bottom in front of park center.

Miyagase Christmas Illumination

A popular winter event held on the shore of Miyagase Lake in the village of Kiyokawa. The Miyagase Lakeside Park and Mizunosato shopping district sparkle with illumination. The lake shore is a glittering, dreamlike scene, with a jumbo Christmas tree over 30 m tall, a tunnel of lights over a long suspension bridge twinkling with roughly 300,000 LEDs, a rainbow tree whose colors shift in time with the music playing, and more. During the illumination, there are more events, including live stage performances and the Santa Parade.
