I met friends here for lunch recently and was not disappointed. The food and service are excellent. I recommend the soups and the current scones. They make the best cup of tea anywhere! This restaurant is always bust and has lots of repeat business.

The walk around Mill Lake is totally level and wide so that even if traffic is busy, there is plenty of room to walk. Usually lots of water fowl to view as well as the lake itself is beautiful with lily pads on its perimeter. If you need to clear your mind with a relaxing walk while visiting Abbotsford, this walk will do just that.

Have been a # of times - this time a lovely lunch out with my husband in this gorgeous garden setting. Foods are always peak of freshness and good portion sizes. Service is attentive & have never felt rushed here. Everyone loves the decor & setting. Foods are on the upper range of $ for what you get but worth what you pay. The setting makes you feel like you're had a "mini-holiday" as well as a meal. Likely not a setting for young children re: menu choices or ability to respond to their needs.

Planned trip to this spot with another family...arrived on the early side and we were glad we did...as our time progressed and our fun...the crowds became larger. When for a quick lunch but knew that the quality of the food is really good and the items are all made daily and really fresh. The paninis were all had lots of contents. The only problem I had was I got charged for a Dasanta water but only picked a Kirkland water. I know that Kirkland comes from Costco by the flat making it cheaper. Dasanta comes from Coke. Staff were friendly.

I wasn't sure what to expect here, but ended up staying for quite a long time Reading all of the information panels. It's free entry (donations are appreciated but no one pressures you at any time) and you're free to watch a very short DVD summary then wander through an area with panels and photographs of the whole history of the Mennonites dating back from the 1600s to the present day. Abbotsford has had a huge Mennonite population, although people have been spreading out over the decades, so the location and context of the museum is relevant to the area. There are opportunities to talk to Mennonites in the museum and they are quite open to answering questions. Upstairs is an extraordinary library of books written by and about the Mennonites, including family books, and genealogy information on computers that can be accessed as a guest. Downstairs is a cafe that serves Mennonite delicacies... far from low cal, but seriously delicious. Located just off the highway, it's worth a stop if you're interested in minority cultures and histories including religious persecution, pacifist groups, people kind of "separated from society", or (of course) if you happen to be a Mennonite.

The Discovery Trail provides kilometres of fantastic trail for runners, walkers and cyclers. Most of the trail is paved and winds through most of the city of Abbotsford/Clearbrook. The trail is well maintained and generally feels very safe. I love to run these trails and they are one of the best features of Abbotsford - a city that otherwise is too pedestrian friendly!

We have our picture on the Wall of Honor at AESC. This was when we were season ticket holders of the Abby HEAT. Understandably they are no longer here, due to prohibitive costs of having an American Hockey League team here. I still miss the games, and grew to love the facility. Acoustically, not a great place for a concert. But it was not built for that.

This is a great "go to" area for a leisurely walk when you don't have time for a major hiking outing. I have met friends here for a visit and exercise. The parking lot is large, there are washrooms on site along with a nice picnic area. The walk takes you on a well worn easy trail through open areas, on the dyke, through forest. The wonderful thing about this trail is that it is generally accessible all year round. Bicycles, kids, strollers and pets are welcome on this trail which has great views of the river and farm land.
