What an experience! I hired the convertible Morris Minor as a surprise for my husband on the occasion of our Golden Wedding Anniversary. Nick, who dealt with me was incredible and we can’t thank him enough for organising it so perfectly and keeping the secret to the very last minute. The car was immaculate and we made so many memories meandering through Cotswolds villages in the sunshine with the top down! Really can’t recommend Revival Cars too highly. Follow our example and make some memories of your own!

My friend and I popped into the impressive Fargo Village and we came across this charming place. The curator’s passion for his collection and his authentic knowledge was very evident. Listening to the curator was 15-20 minutes well spent. I ve just read a touching backstory to this endeavour on the internet. As with the Two Tone Village and the Coventry Music Museum, I hope the Fargo Village and this charming emporium and museum get the recognition they deserve when Coventry enjoys its well-deserved tenure as the City of Culture.

Go Ape Coventry

Reviewed By SELD2901

We (myself and 10 year old daughter) visited on a Sunday. My initial thoughts upon booking was that it seemed a little expensive. However i changed my view after a day here. The amount of staff available to help, the quality of the equipment, the time spent here and the engineering involved in the course fully justified the £61 paid for both of us to do the Tree Top challenge. Safety was paramount and this was one of my concerns pre-visit. However, short of you not attaching yourself at the start of the course (which staff would not allow) there is no way i can see a fall could occur. There is also a second rope for safety in the unlikely event that the first rope should fail. With my safety concerns out of the way, we had a great day. We spent at least 3 hours in the treetop courses and there are four courses in all. We completed them all and whilst challenging for us both, we both managed to complete all 4 courses. The zip lines were the longest i have seen and took some real bottle to "step off the platform". But i guess if it was easy and not a thrill, there wouldnt be much point. The swings and balancing obstacles were also well thought out, tricky, but do-able for a ten year old. I am a relatively big guy and was pleased to find that harnesses were available for the bigger individual also. All in all, a great day out. We were there from 12 til 6 and had a walk around the grounds too, which are very picturesque. I think the fact that not 10 minutes after we had finished, my daughter said "can we come here again" speaks for itself. One criticism I have is the issue of parking. Whilst worth the course fee, i still feel £60 for an afternoon is quite a lot of money, especially for a single parent and if car parking were to be included, or at least subsidised, I would give the place a 10/10 rather than a 9/10.

We love coming to Coombe Abbey, it is for sure one of our favourite outdoor places in the area. We’ve been coming here for years since we moved to the area. Our kids love to scooter here, all of the pathways are flat & accessible. They also love to; generally run around & explore, climb trees, go digging in the loose soil, watch the bunnies & sheep at the fields at the back, feed the ducks/geese/swans/pigeons, play stick or pinecone races in the streams. There are two play areas, the first by the visitor centre is mainly aimed at younger children, so we tend to head to the one at the back of the park near the ‘top pool’ which has bigger equipment at it. In good weather, there are plenty of open spaces to sit on a blanket to have a picnic etc. You could also happily play games such as kicking a ball around, rounders, frisbee etc. If you’re wanting to spend a bit more money, the recently opened Go Ape climbing centre is good too, but I’ll review that separately. When the visitor centre is open, the shop is lovely with lots of different outdoor toys for kids to enjoy, alongside general gift items, all at reasonable prices too. They also have other units in there supporting local craftsmen too which is really good to be supporting small local business. The food at the cafe is also good, when it is open. Definitely recommend to anyone ????????

As well as the art gallery’s ever-changing displays which are often created in partnership with national museums, the Herbert offers a wide range of detailed talks, fantastic events and inventive workshops for adults and families. The Herbert Art Gallery encourages creativity, exploration and fun. Gain a fresh perspective on the legend of Lady Godiva, discover your ancestors’ history in the Coventry Archives, and explore British & European paintings from the 1500s onwards. All of this is just a stone’s throw away from Coventry Cathedral.

Reviewed By bdon257 - Morpeth, United Kingdom

The Herbert Art Gallery is in a pedestrianised area adjacent to modern buildings of Coventry University. Just across the square are the ruins of Coventry Cathedral and the newer Cathedral as well as some of the city’s medieval buildings. This is a very good resource with a mix of Old Masters through to more modern exhibits, it is well laid out and with changing exhibitions it is worth returning to.
