We spent a delightful morning with Mayuko learning to make bento boxes with panda rice balls. Mayuko is extremely friendly and positive, and a great teacher - we learned some cool techniques which we've since incorporated into our own cooking since returning to our home country, and my wife went out shopping straight after the class to get equipment to make bento boxes of our own. We did a few different activities and classes while we were in Japan for a month and this was easily the most fun we had. I heartily recommend this class to anyone who wants to have a fun morning with a great host and learn some cool things about Japanese cuisine.

I have been here several times with lower back pain (especially after long haul flights) and each time I have been given a careful and thourough evaluation, followed by excellent treatment by Ryo. He doesn’t just relieve the pain, he showed me some exercises to help improve my spine flexibility, and followed up with a video so I wouldn’t forget. I’ve always left here literally feeling taller, breathing easily and without the low level grinding pain that comes with long plane trips or extended periods of stressful office work. I really appreciate the care he takes. You will be in safe hands here.

This is a lovely one hour show featuring traditional Japanese instruments and music. The setting is intimate so that you can hear and see the performers up close. The show features the koto, shamisen, Taiko drums and the Shakuhachi flute, plus a bilingual ( English/Japanese)commentary between performances to explain the instruments, how they are played and certain sound effects are achieved, and the origins of the music. The performances are delicate and ethereal. Afterwards you are in a great neighbourhood for dining out and close to the subway for getting home. A perfect evening.
