Paul has a little slice of Heaven on a secluded beach that has zero tourists- just locals and travelers interested in authentic cultural experiences. We learned so much from Paul- he showed us how to cook a traditional meal using vegetables he grew on his farm. He told us abt the history of the island, the slave trade, his ancestors and how they taught him abt medicinal plants and Caribbean cooking. He gave us a tour of his farm and the forest but we still had plenty of time to just relax on the beach. We felt like we experienced the real St Lucia for a day- it was the highlight of our trip!

Don't let the name fool you! This is WAY MORE than a taxi service. There are several choices for private transfers on the island and after careful research, we selected Marc! From the time that we contacted Marc's Taxi Service about a private transfer from UVF to Sandals, until the time we got to the resort, everything was FIRST CLASS! Marc called to personally arrange everything and his wife followed that up with emails to confirm our arrangements. The price was VERY reasonable and he told us that we pay once we get to the resort, NOT beforehand! When we arrived in St. Lucia, we were promptly met by our driver, Contious, at the airport Sandals Lounge (without any waiting), where he immediately took our bags and got them loaded up. To our surprise, Contious lived in the United States for many years. Through conversation we learned that we even worked for the same employer and when through the same training academy. We even knew many of the same people! What a small world it can be! We really appreciated our ride to the resort and the great conversation along the way. When we asked about local food, he even stopped along the way to introduce us to the island favorites of salted cod and cheese sandwiches, with some Golden Apple and papua juice! Delicious and a MUST TRY, so just ask! We were so impressed with Contious that we asked him to take us back to the airport when we were leaving. Again, he was on time and ready when we left. It was like seeing an old friend again. Contious was a great driver, very safe and his vehicle was clean both times. We will be asking for Contious when we travel back to St. Lucia in the future!

Please conserve this beautiful beach. We only spent a few minutes here with our catamaran tour, but enough to enjoy the beauty. I hope this beautiful beach is kept for many generations to come

Pigeon island has a great history for the St Lucian people the guides was very enthusiastic about you seeing Fort Rodney and I must say the 15min hike is so worth it the views are spectacular overlooking the ocean even the mountain views were picturesque. A must go in St Lucia.
