Inside the chapel you’ll find 10 different kings buried, beautiful ornate wood work commissioned by Henry V111 for Catherine of Aragon, and the stunning stained glass windows of this amazing church, inside is the final resting place of the queen mother and princess Margret along with princess Charlotte. Fudge Kitchen

The sweetest place to be in Windsor since 1998. We hand-make the best fudge in the world, using a 200-year-old recipe. It’s all gluten free, completely natural and doesn’t contain any nasty palm oil or preservatives. We even make the best vegan fudge you’ve ever tasted. Watch fudge being made in our kitchen every day between 11-4 and taste some fresh off the slab! If you’re a true fudge fanatic, you can even come for a Fudge Making Experience (please call ahead to check availability).

A visit to this shop is a ritual I have every time I visit my family Windsor (which can be often)! Met the lovely Henry this time - I think it's safe to say we tried every flavour (maybe some twice!) My fave this time has got to be the Salted Caramel & the Darch Chocolate Orange (which was warm as freshly made) The Eton Mess is going down a storm in my office as I write this review!! Henry is definitely an asset to this wee shop - a bonus for me was finally getting to meet Dexter the Cat!

My 14 year old daughter, her friend and I spent the loveliest morning with Jacky at a cupcake bouquet workshop for my daughter’s birthday party. Jacky was fun, patient and clearly an amazing teacher because we were so proud of the cakes we decorated - these photos are of my daughters cakes. I would highly recommend one of Jacky’s workshops - it was a fab thing to do with my daughter and a great party for a bake-off fanatic teen. We can’t thank you enough for such a memorable birthday and I’ve already recommended you to a friend for her daughter’s Christmas present!

While in London we did a very enjoyable round trip from Tower Hill Underground to Paddington , Windsor Castle, Hampton Court, Turks boat to Richmond on Thames then District line back to Tower Hill. This would not have been possible without Surbiton Coaches thank you very much Richard. PS. Richard was very friendly and informative and we preferred HC to WC. Turks was a great journey as well.

Holy Trinity Garrison Church

Reviewed By 968nicholash - London, United Kingdom

Sadly the Windsor Garrison no longer uses this church, but it remains a shrine to the British Army with standards everywhere and the balcony fascia completely covered with memorials to various military campaigns. I was fortunate to visit on the day before Remembrance Sunday, so it was full of volunteers cleaning the interior and setting up for the following day’s service. I was able to have a fascinating talk with the vicar about the history of the church, which was initially funded by a donation by Queen Victoria. Prince Albert had a significant influence over its design and there’s a life sized statue of him in the entrance lobby. The magnificent interior is very definitely Victorian, but distinctly lighter and brighter than in many other churches of that era.

The town of Windsor, located and easy 20 miles west of London, is a beautiful and must see destination for any trip to England. An easy train ride from London that is very affordable if you have an Oyster card and London Pass. You will want to spend some time visiting the historic castle and St. Georges cathedral that is NOT open for visitors on Sundays. The town itself is a true gem with lots of shops and places to get some lunch. Very friendly people and pretty accessible (except for in the Castle). it is a day well spent
