My husband and I stopped by the Pakaloha Bikinis store in Haleiwa after a long day. Jackie was very helpful and attentive to my questions. She offered choices in size, color and styles without being overbearing. She was truly wonderful. I will be forever shopping at your store wether online or at the different locations!

With the authentic wood carvings and traditional artwork we offer, any room in your home can become an island destination. You can be confident that the items our master carvers create for you are original and made from natural materials such as wood and bone. We specialize in sea life and Tiki carvings that reflect the rich history of life on the Hawaiian islands.
Ohana island creations is my favorite stop for wood carvings in Oahu. I have been going to Hawaii for 12 years, and there is no better place to buy souvenirs on the entire Island in my opinion.

Toa Luau invites you to immerse yourself in the beauty and excitement of Polynesia on Oahu’s historic North Shore! Book any one of our three luau packages for admission into the lush Waimea valley. Set aside ample time in the day to walk through the fragrant flower lei gardens or hike among some of Hawaii’s most diverse plant life and even swim at the refreshing Waimea falls. The epitome of your visit happens with TOA at Oahu’s newest Polynesian luau! Complete with authentic interactive cultural demonstrations, island feast and a sampling of Polynesian dances from all over the Pacific. Your time with us will be one to remember long after you leave our beautiful islands. Natural wonders, traditional cooking demonstrations, and thrilling entertainment … There’s Something for everyone when you spend an adventurous day with TOA LUAU in alluring Waimea.
If you're looking for an authentic, interactive, fun, family Luau with the BEST food, Toa is the one. Its also the best value. We received flower Leis, admission to Waimea Valley Gardens ( for the day), free easy parking, interactive lessons on weaving, pom pom making, how to open coconuts, taro bundles, food demonstrations, cultural education, three drinks each (not watered down), better than restaurant food, desserts, kava ceremony, gifts and top notch authenticate entertainment . I've been to the other larger Luaus on the island that left me feeling like just one person in a large crowd. With the Toa Luau, they only host a small number of guest , who immediately become family. I've been lucky enough to have visited the islands over 10 times, and this stands out as one of those memorable moments. Mahalo!

A family friend is stationed on Oahu and gave me the great tip of skipping the more famous shaved ice place in favor of the Aloha General Store when passing through Haleiwa. So glad he did. The shaved ice was tasty tasty tasty. The woman behind the counter was so nice and helpful with recommendations; I got it "local style" (with vanilla ice cream under the shaved ice). The owner does it right, using the right ice shaving machine and replacing the blade every couple weeks to ensure the perfect fluffy texture. I don't even remember what flavors she gave me - papaya and two others? It was delicious. Though the General Store does take credit cards, they are cash only for single shaved ice orders, so be aware of that.

We always purchase some artwork to remember our journey and we were thrilled when we found this art gallery. One of our requirements is that it is locally made. We loved the variety of artwork on display and settled on a beautiful piece of glass work made by Krista Woodward. We felt the prices were quite respectable and our piece was well packaged and shipped very quickly. Even if you don't plan on buying, you should at least give this place a visit.

You have to stop by and check out “The Only Show in Town” if you ever find yourself on the North Shore. The owners have the most eclectic selection of goods from various pieces of “old Hawaii” to typical souvenirs. Well worth the stop just to have a chat with owner, Paul and his wife. They are so much fun and honestly enjoy their shop!
