Enigma was awesome! I brought my family to Boulder and Rocky Mountain National Park from Kansas City, Missouri. It is difficult to find activities that suit such a range of ages (12-23!). The two oldest are girls. They were very interested in visiting an escape room and had a great time. My 15 year old boy told me that the escape room was his favorite activity, beating out white water rafting, kayaking, hiking in RMNP, and biking on Boulder Creek Path. My twelve year old boy asked IMMEDIATELY after we escaped, “Can we do another?”! Everything from the owner's responsive emails (I had questions), the booking process, the location and escape room themes, to the friendly staff and their clues was top notch. I looked at others, but found the themes too scary or otherwise inappropriate. Enigma provided a classier alternative, and a great team building activity for my kids and I that we will remember for years to come.

Eldorado Canyon

Reviewed By JSTrip_77 - Hanoi, Vietnam

Colorado has endless options for hiking but this one is quite remarkable. We went on a Saturday in the summer so we got there by 9:45am in order to get parking. There were still spots when we arrived but by the time we left, the lots were full. So, consider that when planning your trip. We parked at the first lot we came to but couldn't find the Fowler Trailhead which we'd intended to take. So, we walked up the road and joined Fowler at the top and then connected with Rattlesnake Gulch trail. Rattlesnake Gulch trail was absolutely spectacular. Near the top of the 650 foot elevation gain, you'll get to the (minimal) ruins of a hotel that was on the site from 1908-1912. Beyond that, there's an amazing overlook of the canyon and the continental divide (the big mountains!). We aren't climbers but there are ample options for that too. If I had one complaint about the park its that the main road through the park is the only access to the trails (by car) and so it gets busy.

We had a blast celebrating a birthday there. We had five people and went during the day so we had the place to ourselves. It was so much fun. The host/murderer was perfect - friendly, funny, and helpful when we needed it since it was our first time in an escape room. The props are excellent and good quality, rooms well thought out, and clues very clever. We hope to make a repeat visit at the end of this month with guests from Australia! And the host took a great photo of our group afterward using my cell phone. Kudos to him!
