Smart rooms is an accommodation in the heart of the city, near the main square Piazza Unità D'italia (maximun 10 minutes walking distance), the train station as well as the main attractions of the city. Within Smart Rooms you can find budget rooms (shared bathroom) and suit rooms (private bathroom). It is also provided by a free spot where you can park you bike. There is a dynamic and friendly environment, but also you can chill out in the terrace.
Awful customer service - stay away
Reviewed By jules7706Room was fine though the private bathroom being external to the room was not specified in the booking. And the key to bathroom was difficult to get into the lock. But hands down the worst customer service I’ve experienced. Receptionist when we arrived was completely disinterested and unfriendly. Not a word about the city itself. When we came back, the staircase was in darkness and door appeared to be closed, until a different receptionist heard us trying to get in with key and opened it. We had to catch a bus at 9.30am the next morning so planned to pay and leave at 8.30am. There was no one at reception, we waited for five mins thinking they’d be back from somewhere but it was clear there was no one on duty. We left the key on desk and put the room charge plus city tax inside a note and left it behind the keyboard. It was €13. We were conscious that we shouldn’t leave without paying. A couple of days later, I saw I was charged for the room on my ccard which I’d used for the booking. So I paid twice through no fault of my own. Unsurprisingly, Smart Room ignored my email message and only responded when Booking.com contacted them on my behalf. They said they never got the money...which I don’t believe. Even if someone had taken it, it’s their fault for not having someone on reception in the morning. Terrible customer service when we were staying there and afterwards. Stay away.

Spacious and clean
Reviewed By Joanna TI stayed for two weeks there. The area around doesnt say much but with the bus or on foot it's close to the center. Its very clean and the rooms are comfortable and big enough. It offers a free washing machine in the basement.

L'appartamento ha una bella vista sul mare, è nuovo ed ha a disposizione tutti i comfort necessari per un soggiorno perfetto. L'agenzia che gestisce questi appartamenti sanno fare il loro lavoro e come far tornare il cliente. Sono stati molto cordiali. La prenotazione prevede un entrata dalla zona per i residenti ed ovviamente ti danno la possibilità di lasciare la propria auto nel garage del Porto Piccolo. Da consigliare assolutamente e soprattutto da tornarci.

Reviewed By Wolves52Funky place! It had a peculiar odor so we opened the window, door, and ran the A/C to filter the air. That made it tolerable. The decor was very cute, and the kitchenette was practical. The queen bed was comfortable enough. Breakfast was poor compared to other lodgings we’ve had on this trip: lots of sugary and starchy junk foods but no eggs and only one cold meat selection. The coffee was good but only cold cows milk to put in it. The best feature was quiet during the night.

Bed & Chic is a small bed and breakfast in Trieste, family run. The property is located in a large apartment in the area of the Court of Justice, a few hundred meters from the train station, buses, and 5 minutes walk from the historic center. The area is well served by a large underground car park located about 30 meters from the structure (see link) The rooms are large, bright, equipped with king size beds with latex mattresses hypoallergenic and hypoallergenic aloe vera, with Scandinavian-style furnishings, which privileges the white and contrast with the primary colors. Breakfast is served in the common room from 8:00 to 10:00. Breakfast is continental, but you can also have savory breakfasts, for celiacs, vegans and diabetics. Check-in is from 15:00 to 24:00, thanks to the self-check-in service that will allow you to choose the most convenient time of arrival. For arrivals at night time, however, it is better to contact us directly. We host your furry friends!
Nice and tidy
Reviewed By 483nenadgWe stayed there for only one night. It is a room in an apartment with shared bathroom. It is very clean and tidy, the owner was very kind and helpful. The only thing that I was not happy with was our neighbours from the othwr room who were making a lots of noise in the night when we wanted to sleep. The location is not really in the city center, but it was ok. Oh yeah, one more thing... I would suggest to the owner to replace the minibar because it was very noisy machine :)

Шкаф и комод в комнате были завалены хламом, не было места, куда можно было положить наши вещи. На батарее в комнате валялся грязный носок, подоконник был загажен засохшими оранжевыми пятнами. Полотенцесушитель в ванной был покрыт черным налетом пыли. Повсюду ВОНЬ, ГРЯЗЬ, ПЫЛЬ, ВОЛОСЫ и ШЕРСТЬ((( В квартире жили собаки. Чернокожий зашёл и обрызгал комнату вонючим дешевым дезодорантом. Нам дали маленькие страшные серые полотенца. Не было мыла. Завтрак не дали. Ключей как от квартиры, так от комнаты не было(комната вообще не закрывалась). Пароль от Wifi состоял из всего алфавита, без указания логина. Мы были вынуждены сбежать из этого отвратительного места, несмотря на оплату за 3 ночи, КОТОРУЮ НАМ НИКТО НЕ ВЕРНУЛ. И на всё это бессовестная хозяйка отеля нагло заявила: "Вы слишком привередливы, что вы хотели за 55 евро за ночь???" УЖАС(((((
