Reviewed By Kastury90First of all,a superb location of the hotel just a few metres from the Main Road at Manak Chowk,Jaisalmer.Our train reached at 09:45 pm night at Jaisalmer and we were received by our Hotel crew,Shakil Bhai just outside the Railway station gate.After that,we were taken to the hotel and to my utter surprise,We were upgraded from Deluxe Room to Suite Room as the Deluxe room was on the top floor and it was around 44 degrees,so Shakil bhaiyya and team shifted us to the Suite Room at the same price in the first floor.Our complete trip including Desert safari in Jeep and Camel alongwith cultural evening in K K Resorts,Jaisalmer was properly planned by Shakil bhaiyya.He himself took us in the hotel car and stayed with us all throughout as our guardian... The Guide bhaiyya who showed us The Golden Fort of Jaisalmer and other places of interest in the cute city was also awesome.He acted as our Post-wedding Photographer by clicking some very beautiful pictures at beautiful locations. We didn't feel like we were somewhere away from our home.The hotel felt like our second home and the team were like our guardians. Fully recommend HOTEL TOKYO PALACE,JAISALMER for a beautiful stay as a solo traveller or with family.Just book the hotel and leave the rest on them.They will take care of all your needs. As it was not a peak season and there was a forecast of heat wave during these days( 17th March to 19th March) so we did not book any hotel in advance. On 17th March, while still on our way from Jodhpur to Jaipur, we checked for hotels in internet. This one popped up and seemed to be in our budget. The Non A/c room charge was Rs 300 er day and for an A/c room it was Rs 600/-. As we compared this rate other budget guesthouses it seemed reasonable. So we booked an A/c room for next 3 days, with Rs 600 per night. Our plan was to be outside from morning 7 am to 11 am, rest in hotel room till 5/6 pm and then go outside. We were damn tired as we travelled by a non A/C bus and reached Jaisalmer at 3 pm. So after getting a bath we planned to sleep for fe hours. But then we realised that the AC does not work. It was switched on but the cooling was not happening. The manager( or whoever) did not give us the remote. After several requests he told us that the remote is not working. On the top of this there was a construction work going on just behind the wall of our room. We asked them to change the room but then he told us that this is the only AC room. He gave us many excuses e.g. they were not prepared for this heat wave, till last week they used blankets etc . We used to spent time in the terrace till 12 midnight and then came down for sleep with the window opened. On second day night , we managed to get the remote and realised that the problem is with the AC. We expected he would reduce the charges for the room. But to our surprise while checking out on the last day they produced a bill of Rs 2,250 which includes the first day lunch that cost Rs 450. When we argued with them that how could they charge Rs 600 for this basic room as the AC was non functional. Then he smartly told us that in his hotel the non AC room chare is Rs 600. This was really disgusting. After a heated argument he was ready to accept Rs 2000. During those 3 days none came to clean the room. The bedsheet and the pillow covers were not clean. The bed is terrible as one could feel the metal springs inside. The food was also terrible and very expensive.

Reviewed By abhiiimitOn 17/2/22 we stayed in Wild heritage desert camp in Jaisalmer, which was booked through booking.com. The camp was a sheer scam, none of the photos that were posted in the app matched with what we got when we entered the camp. The owner Adesh tried to loot us from the beginning of the trip only. He charged us 2000 for the car from airport to the camp, then activities like Jeep safari and quad bike, for a single person he charged 7000, after a little bit of bargain he gave us an estimate of 18109 for the above two activities, city tour and drop to our hotel the next day and drop to the airport the next-to-next day. After payment of the full amount, he didn't give us any receipt or whatever we discussed that are included in that amount. The next day we started off from the camp for city tour and drop to our hotel. while we are in the car, he said city tour is chargeable extra and he can only drop to our hotel in Mohangarh if we pay 3500 extra as that 18109 was only for 2 desert activities and charge of car to drop us to Jaisalmer city which is 35km from desert camp. in spite of having an argument he denied to accept that we had decided for the entire plan as mentioned above. He dropped us in the middle of the city, not helped us with the city tour or drop to the hotel started misbehaving. Later on, he handed over a bill where he mentioned about the total charge as per his own whim not what we discussed. We told him will give the review in booking.com. after half an hour or so we received a message from booking.com that Adesh has shown us as a cancelled stay in their camp and we didn't turn up, thus we couldn’t give a review there in spite of contacting the customer care. In our trip later on we came to know from other drivers also that this is not the first time that one has this kind of experience as he is known as a fraud person there. The best part is its location and its roof top from where you can get a mesmerizing view of the living fort. I had stayed here for 2 days but they have giving me memories to for life long. Must try hotel!!! :)

During evening, They had some music program where singers were literally on the mike. Music was creating loud noise. During Morning time, we had taken jeep safari to dessert and it was just awesome. Food is OK.
