Anniversary stay

Living local I decided to book a last minute night away, I contacted Steve and immediately though how warm and welcoming he was on the phone, brilliant customer service and I knew we were in good hands! We arrived shortly after 6pm, and were shown to our apartment, absolutely beautiful, a living room area within the large room, and an extremely comfy bed, with a lovely bathroom. We used the hot tub on sight-this area is stunning, the most relaxing music playing, whilst remaining private, this really made our evening! It’s safe to say we will never forget our “21st” anniversary, the only downside being we had to leave at 6.30am the following day due to work commitments. Highly recommend and would love to return!

Nothing going for it

Reviewed By david s

It was clean and recently decorated. That’s all that is good We had a deluxe family room with an en suite suitable for a family with two children The room had no table, only one chair, a hook on the wall instead of a wardrobe, no drink facilities in the room, not even a glass in the bathroom, no shower gel, a small double bed etc. etc. No catering. Even at £92.50 per night it was a bad choice, There was a communal kitchen where you could make your own food and drink. What a mistake

I enjoyed my stay but there were things which need looking at eg Have a person in reception to greet you

Reviewed By mthreadingham

I thought there should be a person in reception to greet. It’s not appropriate to have to ring for someone. Although the breakfast was adequate it could be improved. I left a towel to. E cha get & the coffee etc to be refilled but nothing happened.

Dog Friendly Accommodation

Reviewed By Fifitrixabelle

We stayed for 3 nights mid May. We had 3 dogs with us (with beds) and were recommended room 10. The room was large and really well decorated with a large floor space to accommodate the mutts ?. Bathroom was very nice too. Excellent location to explore the New Forest with a handy dog walking area over the road. The breakfasts were very good with excellent ingredients and the evening meals were satisfactory (ask to see the specials board for a less pub grub type menu - they were good). Staff friendly and accommodating. My only gripe (although I did know about the price obviously) was the price! I’ve stayed in comparable hotels with the same facilities for less room rate and in also country side locations. So I’ve knocked 1 star off for value purposes. Anyway we had a lovely stay and will return, great dog friendly location.

I have nothing bad to say! It’s a miracle!

I rarely have reason to give 5* yet here it is!! Lesley was in front of every need that we had. The kettle was on as soon as We arrived! (I have very high - ‘pain in the ads’ - expectations and she met them all!) Spotless place. I hadn’t even noticed that a dog lives there (& my nose can sniff out a doghouse at 100 paces!) I have a real fear of dogs …. But Ted is a darling. He expects nothing, yet gets nothing but love and strokes (even from me!) Comfy beds. 2 lush pillows each. Fab en-suite, kitted out with various cleansing items. Lesley offered us more than we could have asked for…. Even the use of another area to hang our ‘posh’ wedding clothing. There’s parking for 5 ish. cars. Breakfast was plentiful, fresh and tasty. I was very chuffed to see a nespresso machine! (In my element) Thanks Lesley. You deserve your ample praise on here.

What a poor night for £99 ! Wouldn’t stay again ! Confusion when we arrived at the (kepples head sister to the lady Hamilton) Then they tried to charge us another £99 ! The gentleman on the reception had to go and speak to the manager we got passed hand to hand ! We finally managed to get our room and I wasn’t impressed with that neither ! The sink was yellow! 1 curtain for the window ! There was no wardrobes to hang your clothes, no table lamps just a bare shell for £99 for 1 night ! Breakfast this was going good until I found a fly in my orange juice ! OMG get me out of here never again !

Quiet and comfortable

Reviewed By Richard H

This was an excellent find for business in the area - so close that I walked to work every day. There are only 3 rooms (as far as I could see). Each room is newly furnished and has views over the river (although it was dark the whole time). The beds are comfortable and although space is limited, careful arrangement of the desk and window cill allows a working space. WiFi worked well. The bathroom was small but was adequate. No catering available during the times I used my room so bough m own breakfast from Tesco on the way in. Right in the village of Hamble-le-Rice with restaurants and pubs (I did not use because of Covid). Breakfast could be had at Jennys but reviews suggested it was slow service which is why I never used it.

A short notice overnight visit

Reviewed By C7598XFmarkl

We stayed in room 9 for one night. The ceiling was quite low in places, but at the same time it was pleasantly quirky. The room was very comfortable, clean and all that you would reasonably expect. The staff were very friendly and helpful. Breakfast was very nice with a view overlooking the marina and river Hamble. Would happily stay there again.
