Reviewed By 905malasOur seven day stay in Auro Grace was wonderful. We went there to spend time as a family. The house was wonderfully and thoughtfully done and we felt extremely at home. The home made Punjabi cuisine was delicious and brought back memories of delicious winter cuisines we have had in our childhood. Our hostess Gita ji was amazing. She was most caring and we fully appreciated her generosity of spirit. We have heard of Punjabi hospitality but we got to experience it first hand. Thank you Gita ji for giving us the most memorable experience. I would recommend this place for anybody visiting Amritsar. Its location is wonderful.

Rooms not clean and with terms and conditions

The check out time in all hotels is 12.00 but at 11.30 am the AC was switched off from the reception and when I called them to ask they told me that in all rooms half and hour before the checkout time, they switch off the AC’s. This was a big surprise for me as I haven’t seen such conditions in any of the hotels. Even the staff at front desk told me that they do it for all the rooms.

Bad maintenance; Good location
Reviewed By dropathStayed for two nights in the first week of this month, as two families occupying two rooms. The best part of the hotel is its location. It is walkable distance to the Golden Temple, Jallianwalah Bagh, etc. Food provided was also good. The bad things: Rooms are poorly maintained. There was a leech in our bathroom, and a millipede under the bed in the other room that my brother's family stayed in. The entire hotel, right from the reception lobby has a damp mossy smell. There was no AC remote in our room, and the TV remote in the other room did not work, and the management took well over an hour to sort these out. There is no parking facility as advertised by the hotel on some booking websites. The road on which it is located is narrow. You cannot even stop your vehicle for a few seconds, since it will cause a jam. Keep this in mind before opting for this hotel.
