We visited the zoo the other day, it has most animals you could think off, they seemed well kept for the most part, a zookeeper mark allowed us to get a once in a lifetime photo with a giraffe, and you could tell he cared deeply about the animals, thought it was a great day out. We did think the monkey enclosures could be bigger and were a little on the small side, again with the birds and the ostriches. But other than that, the majority of the animals seemed to have big time enclosures and plenty of space to roam. And they are all rescue animals from what I understood, so have deffo got a better quality of life. I wouldn’t eat there though we went to the cafe which had run out of hand sanitiser when we entered, so we informed the staff, but then when we left it still hadn’t been refilled which during corona times is quite irresponsible. But if you like going to the zoo, take your own lunch and hand sanitiser and you will have a good day out ????

Tuesday 28th May booked the catamaran elite cruise for adults via our jet2holidays rep - Andy - it was everything he told us it would be. Picked up from our hotel and taken to Green Bay to board Mediterranean lll. As we board we were greeted by Lee and his team from a East Coast Cruises with a glass of champagne, from then on we were treated like VIPs. Pastries of different types and fresh fruits was also available. We had several stops for swimming and plenty of information about the coast line as we sailed up to Famagusta. The swim stops were amazing in the beautiful blue waters of Cyprus, even those not so confident could alight the boat via steps with swim aids if needed. The captain Samous (think that’s how he spelt his name) had good knowledge of currents and if it was save to swim. Lunch was served on board which was plentiful and varied. Drinks of all kinds were available from the bar throughout the trip and nothing was too much trouble for the team. Returning to shore the captain put up the sails to give a very relaxed sail back giving us time to enjoy the views or to sunbathe - areas with shade were also available. The captain, his crew and the team from East Coast Cruises made the trip very memorable for me and my husband, well done guys ????. Thanks from us both.

9. Around Cape Greko walk (upto 10 km) - from Nicosia

Cyprus Walks Etc

This coastal walk connects Konnos beach at the northern tip of Cape Greko park with Glyky Nero beach in Ayia Napa. The route is 10 km long on the rocky coast. Cape Greko park is a small park between the bustling beach resorts of Ayia Napa and Protaras. The itinerary (a possible stretch of it is on Aphrodite trail) goes by major attractions in the area including the group of sea caves in Agia Napa, the group of sea caves of Cape Greko (known as Palathkia 'ie Palaces), as well as Ammos Tou Kambouri beach, Kermia beach, Kamara tou Koraka natural arch and Agioi Anargyroi chapel (and adjacent cave). Cape Greko park is a good destination also for birdwatchers, especially during spring migration. The waters are usually very calm on the east side.
