Arrived by cruise ship with the Port some distance from the town. Our guide Olenka was their to meet us at the bottom of the gangway. Drive into town to join our speedboat. Thankfully the only one with a cover to keep off the sun. A stop was made to take pictures of the mysterious ‘El Candelabra’. Then cruised around the Ballestas Islands with plenty of time to take photos. Thousands of birds & sealions not too mention a few Humbolt Penguins. Olenka gave a good commentary the whole time. A magical experience. A short time to look around in Paracas before we boarded the coach (11 people in a 26 seater) & spent a couple of hours touring the National Reserve. Again Olenka was very good with her commentary. Recommended trip & good value compared with ship tours.

I really liked the tour itself, but when we arrived at our meeting point before the tour they said we should go into the taxi and pay 16 soles each for an 1 minute ride to the pier, even though we already paid the whole trip and could have easily walked there. The rest was really nice - it is full of tourists, of course, but the guide was really funny and we saw many different animals. I would recommend going on the left side of the boat because everything interesting you can see better from there.

30 minutes before the tour, meeting point at the Hotel Ocean Beach Paracas The Ballestas Islands are a group of rocky islands located off the Pacific coast near the city of Paracas, and are famous for their abundant wildlife. They are a must see for all wildlife lovers as they are home to thousands of birds and mammals, including penguins, sea lions, and pelicans. The islands are protected, which means you cannot swim with the animals or walk around them, but you will get very close to them by speedboat. Schedule: 8:00 am. Restriction: The operator does not allow babies under 1 year of age to attend the tour. The tour to the Ballestas Islands during holidays in Peru, such as Easter, National Holidays, New Year's Eve, is usually very requested and many people travel so prices tend to change and the duration of the tour is 1 hour and 10 minutes.

Inclusions: Ballestas Islands Tour Shared service, Guide in Spanish / English, Income Rate, Lifejacket, Pick up from the bus terminal or Hotel (Paracas downtown)

Exclusions: Additional features, Foods, personal travel insurance

My friend and I had a great experience with Sam. The day started off with getting picked up at the bus station. The car we drove in was very nice and comfortable, the air-conditioning kept the car at a cool temperature. Sam was very informative throughout the drive. The Tacama vineyard was absolutely beautiful and breathtaking. The tour was nice and thoughtfully planned out. The next destination was good as well. Lunch was included and it was delicious (but you will have to pay for the drinks you order). The Dune buggy through the desert and Sand boarding was the best part of our day. It was a great experience and quite the adventure. Highly recommended!!

Where do I start? I’m a solo traveler who booked a ticket to Peru 4 days before the flight and I’ve never been to South America and nor can I speak Spanish which made me anxious. Peru Hop was the first company I contacted via email and they have been super helpful!! From all the communication, the arrangements, Peru hop made it so so easy!! It’s not like the hop on hop off buses in Europe, this is a tour full of experiences and I’m always skeptical for paying to travel around but this is well worth it. More importantly the guides were great in particular Ricardo!! This guy made me feel so welcomed, talked to me like we’ve know each other for ages. He answered all my questions, made enquirer for me, and looked after me. Alex have such good insight to the national reserve. I met wonderful people and had the best time of my life. I’m booking Peru Hop again for Cusco to lake titicaca. I don’t usually write reviews but I had to share how good they were.
