Liverpool's fortunes have historically been tied to shipping. But imports and exports like sugar, spice and tobacco pale in comparison with Liverpool's most famous export of all—the Beatles. Relive the hysteria at the Beatles Story Experience, and check out Paul's childhood home, but also leave time for exploring Liverpool Cathedral and the Walker Art Gallery.

The Holy Grail of The Beatles trail. The place where it truly all began for the greatest music phenomenon of the 20th century.
It was a surreal, amazing experience standing in the place where the Beatles really began. To walk into the untouched Casbah felt as if we walked back in time, and we could have spent hours there just staring at the pictures and other memorabilia. The highlight for us was when our guide brought us there, and the door was opened by none other than Roag Best!!! He was our guide for the hour tour of the Casbah, and so we ended the day on an absolute high note! By the way, we were able to visit the Casbah through the Fab Four Taxi Tour; we booked the 3-hour Macca tour with the added visit to the Casbah at the end. The day was truly a fantastic day!

The Friends of Williamson's Tunnels are the custodians of two fascinating sections of Williamson’s Tunnels not open daily to the Public. The first, is Paddington, which is formed of multiple and impressive brick arched chambers. These chambers include the cathedral like Level 4, 60ft below street level, located on ‘Paddington’, Edge Hill, L7 3RG. Visits to Paddington are available free of charge. Our second site is Joseph Williamson’s House, we are currently working hard to uncover the hidden history of Joseph's House and its subterranean chambers beneath - Wine Bins, Sandstone Arch, Gash and the famous Banqueting Hall. We have recently uncovered Joseph’s Kitchen, complete with 4 large fireplaces & cooking Ranges. Williamson’s House is on Mason Street, Edge Hill L7 3EW. Extended visits to Joseph’s house are members only. All Visits can be arranged directly from our web site, e-mail or telephone. All visits must be booked in advance and are Free of charge, though we welcome donations
We have visited today. Lovely welcome from Lynn who booked us on and a great tour with Mike.hr was very knowledgeable about it, we found it very fascinating and he was great keeping the children engaged as well, We have loved being moles for the day, and a lovely touch that the children got a certificate and badge at the end too. I hope to revisit when you've unearthed some more hidden tunnels....

A 15-minute walk from its Anglican counterpart along Hope Street, 1960s' "futurism" best describes the exterior of what's locally know as "Paddy's Wigwam." The huge interiors illuminated by natural light through the exquisite stained glass is worth the journey itself.

Acorn Farm is an award-winning, family-friendly attraction in Kirkby, Merseyside. We are open 7 days a week 10am-4pm and there is always loads to see and do! Whatever the weather, Acorn Farm offers a great value, fun day out for everyone – our admission prices are £3.00 for adults and £2.00 for children! We have a wide range of animals here at the farm, many of which you can feed and stroke. Our animals include our ram, sheep, cows, goats, pigs, horses and chickens, small animals such as rabbits and guinea pigs and even meerkats! We are a working farm, so we often have baby animals including lambs, goat kids, piglets and chicks to see too. During weekends and school holidays, we run small animal petting sessions at a cost of £1.50 per person and horse rides at a cost of £2.50 per person, we often have special events happening too.
Visited here last Wednesday and what a lovely easily accessible place. Admission £3 per adult and £2 per child. Feed tha animals, seed and feed 50p a good size bag. Spent £10 on admission and £2 on 4 bags of feed. Arrived at 10am and spent 5 hours here. Totally underpriced but certainly meets its idea of providing an affordable day for all. Children thoroughly enjoyed feeding the hens, sheep and goats and watching the pigs eat their buckets of juicy apples as well as playing in the little out door park and making music. Petting of small animals £1.50 per person, little animals including guinea pig, hen, rat etc all very friendly and held by everyone. Very organised and staff so helpful, thoughtful and encouraging to children who were nervous to hold animals. Horse ride £2 per person. Two staff members walked with rider. The young man walking with my 3 year old granddaughter couldn't have been more careful with her making sure she was safe. Toilets spotless. We didn't eat at cafe but food was well presented and looked tasty. Spending just a few days in Liverpool, this really was a lucky find and all in all a fantastic time spent, only tears spilt were when it was time to leave. Can't recommend Acorn Farm highly enough. Please don't change a thing.
