A hugely impressive small city built around a large railway station, completely enveloping it. Amazing modern architecture of impressive scale and design, with a roof top garden 11 stories up, with views across the city and nearby Kyoto Tower. So many shops and cafes restaurants bakeries etc. even 5 star hotels, you could happily just spend many days here exploring and enjoying.

So I went here to find souvenirs and somethings I wanted to bring back from Japan for myself. I was able to find everything here including clothing, snacks, cosmetics, skin care and more. Such a great one stop shop. The information desk is very helpful as well. That grocery store in the first floor is great for getting Japanese snacks at a good price !!!

The Cube, large center, was linked with JR Kyoto Station should be regarded as the hub of activities for visitors both local and overseas when they traveled to Kyoto. It was large and pleasant to stroll around with various shops and restaurants located on different levels linked by escalators. An amphi-theatre for holding functions was popular for tourists who took photos from all angles. Highly recommended.

This place is a MUST stop when you come to Kyoto if you love to shop interesting things and designs, we picked up a few clothing pieces that were all Japanese designers and made in Japan. We also indulged in the housewares stores and got so many Japanese made mugs from Akomeya store, and the beautiful Madu store upstairs. We grabbed coffee from both Starbucks and Ralph's coffee. The Japanese do everything better. I'm ruined *sigh*
