Strolled down Main St Ferndale with the fam on 4th of July. Browsed the merchandise and pleasantly surprised by the historical museum upstairs! Wide variety of merch is fun but the attention to detail in the unexpected accuracy of the museum was a thrilling delight for this history buff!!! Loved to see it! Thank you!

This is a must see if in Arcata and you enjoy the artistry of jewelry. Upon entering you are greeted by an assistant who offers to help you find something in particular or just wander and look at the great selection of products on display. They also offer you a coffee, cappucino or water...very welcoming!! There is an informative display and video showing the beginnings of this business, the processes used, materials used and you can observe the assembly and design areas. Each assembly station is personalized by the artist with pictures of family. This shows the values of this business. The artistry is unique and well worth the time to visit.

The tours were sold out but we went to check it out anyway because we’d heard good things. There are lots of chocolates to sample including the super rich drinking chocolate. We also enjoyed a very thorough explanation of how chocolate is made. I bought a gift to send to a friend in VA (free shipping for purchases of $25 or more). And of course we bought some to eat later. Our visit was about 45 minutes and then walked into Old Town Eureka.

Burlwood Gallery

Reviewed By stevec359 - Toledo, United States

If you love wood, this is a place that the aroma of wood and oil will blissfully fill your nose and thus, your spirit as soon as you walk in the door, like walking into a coffee shop if you love coffee. So much beautiful stuff! The rocking chairs are truly a masterpiece. Very reasonable prices. Mom and I bought two beautiful bowls. Very much enjoyed talking with the young man behind the counter, then as we were talking, the artist himself came out and talked for awhile, he asked about my purchase, admired his work and praised my choice., talked about his craft, and even told me the answer to the frequently asked question of "how long does it take to make a piece like this one ?" The answer. It takes as long as it takes. Its done when its done. I LOVE that! Deeply enjoyed the brief time we had here, all the amazing art, and especially talking to the men who run this beautiful art gallery. Really enjoyed our visit. This is a MUST SEE!
