Climbing our via ferrata is an exhilarating way to discover the natural beauty of Catalonia. Experience the adrenaline rush of climbing a via ferrata on this unique tour with your own highly skilled local guide. A via ferrata is a protected climbing route, basically, a modern via ferrata is a steel cable which runs along the route and is periodically fixed to the rock. With the aid of a via ferrata kit, climbers can secure themselves to the safety cable, limiting any fall. The cable can also be used as aid to climbing, and additional climbing aids, such as iron rungs, pegs, carved steps and even ladders and bridges are often provided.

Did this via airbnb with a good local guide, Jordana. She was very knowledgable and could answer any questions we asked. The route was well thought through to accommodate me as a wheelchair user snd there were no difficulties in getting around. Would recommend to any wheelchair user.

We had the utter displeasure of having Elisabet Morera (private guide #GT-000840) as our guide during our tour in Barcelona last summer and she was hands down the worst tour guide we have ever used (and we've traveled to over 30 countries and used private guides in each, so we've seen our fair share of private guides!).  I've been wanting to leave her a review ever since our terrible experience but I could not find her anywhere (that should have been my first clue of what was to come!).  Now I see she is on TripAdvisor and can finally report my dreadful experience with her.  I created an account just to leave this review, so that should tell you how bad it was as I feel a responsibility to warn others so that they don't make the same mistake I did. During our tour she was completely dull, boring, distracted, uninteresting, and whenever we asked her to go more in-depth, she just kept things superficial which gave us the impression that she didn't fully know what she was talking about.  She was on her phone for most of the tour instead of engaging with us, presumably either because she had to read about what we were about to see next or she was distracted with something else.  She sucked out all of our enthusiasm for Barcelona.  To add insult to injury, she was quite dismissive of my kids, and that's a BIG no-no.  I can't even say she was "nice" because she was quite rude at times and not just with us, but even with the staff at the places we visited (for example, we had invited her to lunch and paid for her, and she was rude to the waitress, who does that??).  The only positive is that she was punctual.  That's literally it.  We even paid for skip the line tickets to Gaudi's Sacred Familia church and STILL had to wait when we got there. Reading her Bio here and seeing that her actual work experience is with an "industrial company" and that she only started guiding after a self-described "midlife crisis" makes TOTAL sense!  She's not fit to be a guide.  Period.  Seriously, get ANY other guide but her in Barcelona and you'll have a better experience than we did!!  It's been 7 months now and I still think about how we wasted our money and how she ruined Barcelona for my family (and it was supposed to be the highlight of our vacation in Europe).  Ugh!! It would have been better value for money if we had just flushed the several hundreds of euros we paid her down the toilet and toured Barcelona ourselves WITHOUT her!

We had a lovely day with Pere in Montserrat. He picks you up from Barcelona - in our case our air bnb, which is very convenient. We drove to Montserrat in a comfortable air conditioned mini van. Pere is full of interesting stories about the area and Catalan culture. He then presents three options for the hike. We chose the hardest one. He is an excellent guide - the hike had some climbing involved and we felt completely safe with his expertise. He knows so many legends and tales of the area also. A wonderful day. 100% would recommend. This is the first Tripadvisor review I have ever left and I felt compelled to do so because it was just so excellent. Bring a packed lunch during Covid for a lovely mountain picnic. Thank you Pere!

This tour was excellent. It was a private tour - just me + my 20 yr old son. Marc was our guide. He was very engaging + knowledgable. Everything he discussed was relevant and interesting. He met us at our hotel and brought us to the Jewish Quarter. That was key because a friend of mine never found it when she was there!! I highly recommend this tour. It was the highlight of our stay in Barcelona!

Please before booking send us a message if you're traveling solo! The aim is to offer you a new perspective on the city, something you wouldn't be able to do on your own or with organized tours. It will be a pleasant walk through the Collserola Park (largest city park in the world) that will lead us gently to the highest point of Barcelona, Tibidabo 512 meters above sea level. Along the path we will always be surrounded by nature, its sounds and scents and we will have a fantastic and unique perspective of the city from above. After half an hour by train we will find ourselves in a completely different landscape. We'll have Barcelona at our feet. From this perspective we could get a new idea of the structure of Barcelona and the correct location of all its most important attractions. Once at the top we can relax and hydrate properly before starting the descent that will lead us to the famous Carretera de les Aigües and to the train stop that will take us back to Plaza Catalunya.

As part of our trip to Barcelona, our travel agent scheduled a half day hike of Montserrat for my wife and I. We were picked up at our hotel in Barcelona, and made the trip to Montserrat about 45 minutes away. Not sure what to expect, we set out with our two guide (Fermi and Frank) on the Western face of the mountain. Having singled us out as "being in good shape", we embarked on the hike of a lifetime, pushing us physically, for an amazing day. Steep climbs were rewarded with amazing views. Our guides were kind and made us feel safe, in addition to providing water and orienteering advice. On our descent, we had a wonderful lunch on a mountain crag with views to die for. The descent was as exciting as the ascent, and the hike is one that we will always remember.
