It is set in a stunningly beautiful botanic garden which boasts an abundance of paths which wind past lakes, cactus gardens, orchid gardens and a variety of other horticultural delights. There is a different vista at every turn and it is easy to lose yourself in the spectacular beauty of this place. The hotel consists of six complexes of high quality, mostly single story accommodation with beautifully furnished rooms. Some are in the traditional Lanna style of northern Thailand and others offer more contemporary fittings. Most of the room complexes have their own swimming pool. This gives the impression of being in a small hotel while in fact there are a large number of rooms. There is a restaurant which provides a comprehensive menu of Thai and western food at reasonable prices. An excellent buffet breakfast will satisfy most tastes. There is also a spa that provides quality massage. Although the hotel is out of town a free one way bus is provided to the town centre daily, while a return shuttle to Chiang Mai's night market is scheduled every evening. The staff are all exceptionally friendly and are always ready to help with a smile. My wife and I have visited this hotel many times and have never been disappointed. We were here in late January to mid February 2020, just as the current health crisis was beginning to emerge and we were impressed by the attention to the well-being of the guests and staff that was applied by the hotel management. If you want a well appointed hotel in a peaceful setting with the facilities of a vibrant city a short ride away then this is the place to stay.

Reviewed By cpjktProbably one of the best resort in Doi Saket and the only place that serves breads ( croissant , pretzels etc) and authentic European food. I was told their Sunday Brunch is superb but did not have a chance to go . Also BBQ night every Friday .

Everything looked not well maintained. The Restaurant's Roof-Terrasse was dirty. In ALL the outside lamps and vans were birds nest. The booked Bamboo Villa is located at the entrance, next to the - we guess - staff house.

Resort in a quiet and natural environment with plenty of opportunities for activities 20 km away from the city center of Chiang Mai. Fantastic view over rice fields to the mountains. All rooms are luxury furnished with aircon, minibar, TV and DVD. All bungalows have a private tropical garden. Nice swimming pool.

Reviewed By Martin aryeh WWe booked for one night as a stopover on our way to chiang rai , we really didn’t expect much as we had just left a beautiful 5 star resort , and thought this booking would be a huge disappointment , how wrong we’re we , the property which is a collection of wooden bungalows is set in amongst rice fields and although not fancy it more than makes up for it with charm and a great atmosphere .The property is very Thai in style which we loved ,the bungalow had an excellent bathroom with 2 showers one of which had an open air roof .the bed was comfortable and everything was very clean . The staff are very pleasant particularly the owners . The on-site restaurant where we ate in the evening was excellent and very reasonable , the breakfast the following day also did not disappoint. All in all this is an absolute gem of a hotel don’t hesitate to book if you’re in the area

Reviewed By DiW204While staying with our daughter and family in Chiang Mai recently, she booked for us all to stay for a night in these treehouses - and we had the skyscraper Tamarind room! The resort is quirky and fun, with lovely friendly staff, good wholesome food and certainly takes you away from it all, while there! We had a tasty dinner, no choice but well cooked and efficiently served, followed by lighting a campfire and toasting marshmallows- a highlight for the children! Our treehouse was very high, very well built (though wouldn’t pass any western health and safety tests!) basically furnished - but a wonderful and highly recommended experience. We took the short route in, which involved a river bridge followed by 3kms of very rough dirt road to reach the resort - fine in a 4WD and no big deal if you live in Australia - but not in a precious 2WD car!

All the lessons, meditation sessions, morning rituals etc are amazing. -Right now you have a unique chance to experience a more quiet version of the Sanctuary (due to corona). -It might seem pricey, but there is a lot of value in all the sessions (meditation and yoga), massages, food, and overall experience. -The food is fresh and filling. You are served breakfast by the river before yoga, lunch with dessert, and three-course meals for dinner every night. -The teachers are great. It was my first time doing yoga and I enjoyed it a lot, both the more relaxing sessions and the tougher ones.

I would be careful to choose the room . The rooms are not the same quality . You may want to check the room first before you checked in .

Reviewed By AustraliaCaroleDriving along the main road from the north-west, not wanting to drive into Chiang Mai, we saw the sign to Is Am O Resort and went to look. A few blocks off the main road along tiny streets, well signposted and worth the effort. The friendly welcome and discounted price convinced us to stay. Loved the quirky decorations and paintings, always something different and fun to see, both in our gorgeous clean room and around the garden and small lake. Staying there is like living in a fairy tale painting. Kids would love it. Food was a bit limited with a basic breakfast and no restaurants close by, so a car is a necessity. We stayed in January 2014. A delightful resort. A highlight of our trip... and I'm still folding elephant towels.
