I was a little anxious about doing this trip alone but everyone was so friendly and I had so much fun. I opted to go snorkelling with a member of the boat crew. We were out for almost an hour and I saw the most amazing marine l upife. We were lucky enough to see some dolphins, although not for long. Lunch on Wasini Island was really good, plenty of food and the service was great. My overnight stay at Shimoni Reef Lodge was just perfect, the staff went out of their way to welcome me and make my stay memorable. The food was wonderful. I took the opportunity to visit the slave caves and was escorted there personally by Nyinge who worked at the Lodge, nothing was too much trouble. I would recommend this trip to anyone looking for a unique two day experience

Zanzibar is amazing. The blend of cultural and historic vibes creates an almost romantic atmosphere. watching how the women dress and go about their day tending to their children, husband and relatives was a delight. I even bought a hijab for myself! The museums we visited went back to several decades, and although disintegrating, were of unprecedented beauty. The aquatic beaches were a wonder. So clean. So blue. Ohhh so blue. Scuba diving gave us the opportunity to literally swim with the fishes. Sunbathing under the sun with the signature Zanzibar breeze was spellbinding. Northern masailand offers experiences that are singular and personalized. Thank you Henry for my dream vacay!

I used Jemu Mwenda Expeditions last time I was in Kenya 2019. I was travelling on my own and got my own private tour for 2 weeks. If you want something completely genuine and unique, this is the company for you. James is extremely knowledgeable and is clearly very passionate about the animals and the environment. While on tour you won’t just see the incredible sorroundings, you will also learn a lot about how everything connects. We also stayed in sustainable eco-camps as sustainable tourism is something very close to James’ heart. My tour was completely custom tailored to my interests and needs and he definitely understood what kind of experience I was after. I felt safe at all times, and the service was very professional. I can’t recommend it enough. If you want that personal, genuine, almost intimate experience with nature, as well as knowing that you’re doing it in the most sustainable way possible, this is the company to choose.
